Connotations Of Thriller Openings - 23/12/14

Today, I created a word collage of words associated with thriller openings. I made the word collage by using 'Word it out'.

I believe that this task was successful as I now have an even clearer idea of what people look for in thriller openings and now as a result of this I can focus more preciously on these areas when creating my final opening footage.

Script for opening - Are you going to use dialogue? - 23/12/14 Today, in our group we discussed whether or not to have

dialogue in our opening. We then decided on the following: For our thriller opening we have decided to use no dialogue,

this is to build up the enigma of our opening and genre, as we don't want to give too much away about characters nor plots and by using speech this would. Therefore we won't need a script for our opening.

This task was helpful as it made me more aware of the fact that dialogue doesn't always have a positive effect on certain genres, particularly thrillers which I have found from doing some of my research into thriller openings.

Film Opening Title Ideas- 23/12/14 Today, I came up with six potential title names that we

could call our film. For each  potential title I spoke about how it would link to

our crime thriller genre and whether I thought that it would be successful in conveying our genre to our target audience.

This task was useful as we all contributed in coming up with the title for our opening, adding more connotations to the thriller opening we are going for, therefore hopefully making our final opening more successful than our draft.
