Overall Video IdeaThe Storyline to our video:

A married woman (sassy) gets loads of male attention from other males but not her husband. She stays loyal to her husband despite the male attention. There are dancers in-between the storyline which goes along with the pop music genre and also. Towards the end of the video the husband starts to see all the attention that his wife is getting and gets jealous. This makes him want her more and pay her more attention.

Narrative or Performance

We have decided to create a music video that we have a mixture of both narrative and performance as we will have a dance routine and a story throughout. We have decided to create a hybrid video that conforms with the pop music genre. We will also have lip synching which also helps the viewer to relate.

Props, Costume, Make-up and locations

Props: We will use house hold product, such as hoovers. We have also thought about cars and gifts to show the power and wealth within the video.

Costume: The main girl in the video will be wearing house wife clothes, such as an apron and a dress. The dancers will be in typical bright, reveling clothing typical of the pop music genre.

Make-up: All of the girls will be wearing lots of make-up as male gaze as the all look pretty.

Locations: We will have a home location, such as the kitchen, living room and outside a house as it fits the songs lyric and our story line.

Target AudienceWe have decided that our target audience is 16-26 year olds as it’s a happy pop song. we have chosen this age range and we will be using bright, bold colors typical of the younger generation. The have also chosen a story line about a relationship with helps the audience to relate as this is the age they are seen as in love. We have chosen young, attractive women which will attract the male gender by male gaze and we have chose the story of the women being strong and not giving into temptation from the males in the video which will attract the female gender. This attracts the female genre because they will see the woman as a remodel and female empowerment.
