The road closure will be manned 24 hours a day by a certified Traffic Management company. We have permission to close the pavements also during filming though will only do this when absolutely necessary for the shot and will ensure that a pedestrian diversion through the village is cleared signposted. ‘EMMA’ – FILMING UPDATE FOR LOWER SLAUGHTER – APRIL 2019 Dear Sir/Madam,

We would like to thank you for your ongoing assistance and cooperation with our filming plans. It’s been a long time coming and the filming is nearly upon us. We endeavour to build a relationship with the community through our previous letters and meetings, and we will continue to do so in the run up to our filming.

It was great to meet some of you at Village Hall at our resident meeting. For those that were unable to

attend, or who may not have seen our previous letter for any reason, please find following information regarding dates, times and Traffic Control during our Preparation, Filming and Re-instatement period In Lower Slaughter. Square and along the River, preparing for the filming. *Saturday 30th March 2019 - Road Closure will be implemented from 1800Hrs onwards.*

Sunday 31st March & Monday 1st April: - Ground Covering will be laid within the closure area and potentially a little further along Becky Hill and Kings

Well Lane. On Monday more Crew from various departments will arrive to do final preparations for filming.

Friday 12th April. Access and Parking Arguably the most important of all concerns is access and parking. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times including the filming days. Regarding parking, we have rented allocated parking areas from the Slaughters Inn and Manor House

Hotel. Those who usually would park within our closure area (please see Diagram A) will be permitted to park in these allocated areas, though will need a parking permit which will issued by ourselves. If you think you might need one of these passes and have not yet been in touch with your vehicle details, please do get contact us on the details below.

Please note that our diversion route to Upper Slaughter has been altered to a route which was preferred by the Gloucestershire County Council. Please see Diagram B on this letter. As you can see Copsehill Road will remain open at all times, though during filming, we may implement a Stop/Go system to assist us with with clearing the view for shot. Each shot will take no more than a few minutes at a time. Our Technical Trucks

We have to travel with various technical vehicles, and our intention is to park the majority them in a field on the edge of the Village though please note that especially during the Preparation dates, there will be some large vehicles offloading and collecting equipment and Props. During the filming days, we will use smaller technical vehicles and pick-ups to ferry our equipment to our Set. We will be using a length of the unrestricted parking along Copsehill Road to park our vehicles, as shown on the attached map (Diagram A). Our Security Personnel will be on site to reserve this area for our use and they will also assist in deterring public parking on the single-yellow line further up on Copsehill.

We will be using the Cricket Club Car Park for parking our Crew Cars, which will also become a base for our lunch service during the filming days. Please note that we will not be running a generator overnight at the Cricket Club or within the Village. Special Effects

Our Special Effects Department will be bringing a crane for the purposes using a ‘rain effect rig’. The crane will arrive either on Tuesday 2nd April in the afternoon or on Wednesday 3rd April in the morning, ready for use that day. It will then be de-rigged and be moved out of the Village by the end of Wednesday. Please note that we will be taking precautions to prevent our ground cover from being washed away into drains or in the river. Noise Mitigation We are acutely aware that we are working in a residential area and have asked that no work take place earlier that 0700Hrs on our filming days and no earlier than 0730Hrs on our preparation and reinstatement days. Though, please be aware that there will be a 24 hour presence of Security in the Village and Traffic Management Operatives over the closure dates. They will be aware of the requirement to keep noise and light pollution to an absolute minimum. Donations and Compensation

We are mindful that we are visitors to your area and we have been working closely with the Parish Council to ensure that we are taking every precaution for the smooth running of our filming in your neighborhood. As a token of our appreciation we will be making a donation to Parish Council. Please do contact us via the details below should you wish to discuss any aspect of the above and please alsoremember to let us know if you have any particular large deliveries, medical or other special visitors expected during our filming days in Lower Slaughter. With thanks in anticipation of your patience and understanding, Yours faithfully
