This modular and cost-effective tool management sys-tem not only optimises dispensing and replenish-ment automatically, it also supports links to ERP systems with its open software, monitors the cali-bration intervals of measuring equipment and pro-vides information about durability in the produc-tion process.

Sustainability and innovation At PB Swiss Tools, sustainability and innovation often go hand in hand. The handles produced on the basis of a recyclable natural product are one example. In regards to the grip, the slipping cha-racteristics in the hand, the material is far superi-or to plastics. It used to have something of an odour when it was locked away for long periods. This aspect caused resourceful PB engineers to contact food producers. They neutralise the odour of lactic acid with vanilla fl avour. Since then, all tool handles from PB Swiss Tools smell pleasantly of vanilla. Colour codes are another innovation. They help differentiate and memorise tools of similar appearance even better. In additi-on to serving the fast-growing sports and recrea-tion segment with specialities such as the bike set, PB Swiss Tools is gaining a foothold in a new market with the production of medical instru-ments

PB Swiss Tools – 100% Swiss made, with unlimited guarantee While the expression “Swiss made” passes the lips of many Swiss manufacturers easily, different rules apply for every sector. Industrial products for example are Swiss made if at least 60 percent of the production costs – including the costs for research and development – are incurred in Switzerland. Quality standard and continuity

The quality understanding of PB Swiss Tools ap-plies to the products on the one hand. Every tool that leaves the operation has several tests behind it. These began with the analysis of the PB Swiss Tools special alloys in goods receiving. The failure moment gradients have to exhibit signifi cantly better values compared to a “conventional” screwdriver. In-process and fi nal inspections follow throughout production. Finally a serial number is engraved on each tool with a laser. This allows all production steps to be traced back to the raw ma-terials used. KOPAL pipe deburrers

Universal bore measuring devices

DIATEST interior measurement device sets (BRW 119025) are universal bore measuring devices with a modular structure (Ø 0.47…Ø 20.6).Suitable for series and individual inspections, pre-ferred in operation directly at the production ma-chine. A feeler head unit consists of at least5 elements: 1 feeler head made of hardened steel (available for through holes and blind holes), 1 needle with lapped taper, 1 dial gauge holder, the display (e.g. mechanical dial gauge) and 1 adjustment ring. These elements can be ordered individually (BRW 119030 – 119045). The use of a stand is recommended for smaller bores and, for special measuring tasks, also a fl oating holder (BRW 119050 – 119060).

SYLVAC dial gauges – SWISS MADE

Measure with the innovative SYLVAC dial gauges. The S_DIAL WORK NANO dial gauges (BRW 121470) offer a very good reproducibility of 0.5 µm (accuracy: 12.5 mm / 1.8 µm and 25 mm / 2.2 µm). The S_DIAL WORK NANO BLUETOOTH model also supports wireless transmission of the measurements. The S_DIAL PRO BASIC (BRW 121475) dial gauges feature outstanding repro-ducibility of 0.2 µm (accuracy: 50 mm / 1.5 µm) and have a highly accurate spindle bearing – combination ceramic bearing/ball bearingsystem. Both types of dial gauges offer a large selection of functions (MIN/MAX/DELTA, TOL, FACTOR, PRESET, AUTO OFF etc.) and are resis-tant to water and coolants. All in our ToolShop www.brw.ch.

A special advantage of the Storz system is the swivelling connection between the clamp fi tting and hose connector (with its sealing lip). This means the seals pressed against each other dur-ing coupling do not have to be twisted, making coupling much easier and protecting the seals. In most cases, Storz couplings up to size B can be connected and disconnected by hand with-out tools (coupling spanner) when they are not under pressure.

The couplings are made of forged alumini-um. This makes the couplings highly robust and signifi cantly stronger.
