The M.A.R.A. is a simple and predictable way to
treat class II patients by advancing the mandible.
The appliance is attached to the fi rst molars, or the
deciduous second molars, with crowns or Specialty’s
ROC crowns. Adjustments are achieved by adding
shims and/or bending the removable upper elbow.
Expansion can be incorporated into each arch as
needed.
Our M4™ MiniScope® Herbst is known for durability
and patient comfort. The compact design off ers room
for orthodontic bracket therapy while simultaneously
correcting the class II malocclusion. M4 also delivers the
greatest range of motion, allowing 40 degrees of lateral
movement and a maximum incisal opening of 64 mm.

INDIRECT BONDING
Clear Image® Aligners are a fast, accurate, and aff ordable
alternative for the correction of minor to intermediate
anterior misalignments. The patient wears a series of up to
5 clear appliances to gently align the anterior teeth. We use
a sophisticated process to calculate and measure each tooth
movement, delivering predictable outcomes for your patient.
Treat your next relapse case aff ordably with Clear Image Aligners.
Specialty’s Hawley retainers are available in multiple
colors and designs. Customize your Hawley with any
clasp, fi nger spring, pontic tooth, or acrylic modifi cation.

LIFETIME SMILE PROTECTIONGuardian® Invisible Retention System is the most
effi cient way to protect your patients’ smiles for a
lifetime. Patients receive multiple clear retainers and
a 3D printed model. Use the 3D model for future
retainers, without the need to take new impressions.
Guardian Retainers are loaded with enhancements
to save you time and money while delivering the
best smile protection to your patients.
INVISIBLE RETENTION
FIXED LINGUAL RETENTIONFixed Lingual Retainers (FLRs) are a great solution
to prevent anterior relapse. To prevent undesirable
tooth movement, FLRs are best delivered at the
bracket debonding appointment. We can fabricate
your FLRs from PVS impressions, stone models,
or digital scans while braces are still on the teeth.
A simple and effi cient indirect tray delivers the FLR
at the debonding appointment.
We digitally remove any brackets
before printing the 3D model, so you
can deliver Guardian at the debonding.
Add up to .25 mm of anterior (lateral-
to-lateral) refi nement into your Guardian
retainers and get out of braces sooner.
DISTALIZATIONRAPID MOLAR DISTALIZER (RMD)The Rapid Molar Distalizer (RMD) off ers predictable
distalization with little to no tipping. Mini expansion
screws are activated twice a week, applying a unique
push/relax force sequence that delivers true bodily
movement. RMD’s low buccal profi le
provides greater patient comfort and
no tongue interference.
DISTAL JETThe Distal Jet, is a proven distalization appliance.
Adjustable springs are used to control the desired
activation. An anterior Nance provides anchorage
while the molars are distalized. Second bicuspids
will tend to travel down the alveolar process as
molars distalize. Transverse expansion can be
incorporated into the appliance upon request.
HORSESHOE JETThe Horseshoe Jet off ers similar features to the Distal
Jet. Patient comfort is improved with the Horseshoe
Jet’s streamlined design. Anchorage is achieved with
two anterior TADs. Once the activation is complete,
the appliance can be locked and used as a Nance
holding appliance.
RAPID PALATAL EXPANDER (RPE)The Rapid Palatal Expander is a dependable
appliance for arch development. Specialty
Appliances supplies all types of expansion screws in
a wide range of sizes from 7 to 16 mm of expansion.
All expanders are custom built to meet the doctor’s
design specifi cations.
MINI PALEX EXPANDER Specialty Appliances worked with two major
manufacturers to design our Mini-Palex® Expander.
This screw is half the size of traditional screws,
while still providing 8 to 12 mm of expansion.
Patient comfort, speech, and swallow patterns
are greatly improved with the Mini-Palex’s
compact design.
LINGUAL HOLDING ARCHLingual holding arches are extremely popular to
maintain arch form as well as second deciduous
molar space. We often attach pontics to lingual
holding arches if the patient has edentulous areas.
Specialty’s standard design has adjustment loops
mesial to the fi rst molars. Just like all appliances, we
can customize the LHA to meet your needs.

DIGITAL POSITIONERSOrthodontists have long understood the benefi ts of
using a Tooth Positioner for superior fi nishing and
detailing. In today’s digital world positioners are
easier to make and they fi t much better, all with less
hassle for the clinician and the patient.
Impressions and bites are easily captured with a
digital scanner and sent to Specialty Appliances. The
digital models are mounted on a virtual articulator
and setups are completed using advanced software.
3D printed models are physically mounted with an articulator and the positioner is
fabricated using either vinyl or silicone.
Specialty Appliances was founded on function
appliance fabrication. Our knowledge and history
is evident in the functional appliances we fabricate.
Specialty off ers a wide range of functional
appliances and removable arch development
appliances. Many removable arch development
appliances are used prior to aligner therapy. This
pre-aligner treatment approach can signifi cantly
reduce the time spent in clear aligners.
