When Thomas Alva Edison created the incandescent bulb, little did he suspect that his life-changing invention would someday face prohibition. But because of advancements in lighting technology, many states are now considering bans on incandescent bulbs because of their brief life span and energy-inefficiency. In fact, it’s very possible that within this decade incandescent bulbs will no longer be sold in the US.

Since Creative Displays began offering LED holiday lighting about ten years ago, many of our customers have asked if we also offer LED lights for everyday use in the home. So to meet those needs, this year’s catalog features LED lights for the home and landscape on pages 24 and 25. Yes, LED lights for the home are more expensive than their incandescent counterparts, but they consume just one-tenth the energy and are rated to last more than 20 times longer.

Consider this – most standard incandescent indoor floodlights are rated at 2,000 hours, while our LED indoor floodlights are rated at 50,000 hours. If you currently pull out the stepladder to change bulbs about once every six months, you’ll need to change our LED bulbs about once every 12 years!

Today’s LED technology is revolutionizing the way we light our holidays and our homes, but one thing remains constant. For the 17th consecutive year, Creative Displays will donate a portion of all purchases to the Make-A-Wish Foundation – an organization dedicated to granting the wishes of critically ill children.

C-6 Icicle Lights LED Icicle Lights are approximately 7' long with 70 lights. They have “drops” of 3 lights, 5 lights and 6 lights, which are spaced about 4" apart. Up to 40 sets can be connected together. These UL-approved lights use full-wave LED technology so they’re up to 40% brighter, waterproof, crush-resistant and rated at 50,000 hours. Packed and priced at 12 strings.

Creative Displays’ LED rope lights last for years and consume about 80% less energy than the old incandescent rope lights. Compare our commercial-grade rope lights to some sold in the big box stores and you’ll find that their bulbs are spaced 1½ inches apart, while ours are just 1 inch apart. That’s a difference of 1200 bulbs versus 1800 bulbs in a 150-foot spool.

Dripping Icicle Tubesour animated Dripping Icicle Tubes simulate the drip of an icicle using LED lights. These cool white or blue lights are UL-approved for indoor/outdoor use and can be plugged into any 120V outlet but cannot be connected end-to-end. They’re completely waterproof with a full, 360º viewing angle. Each string features 5 icicle tubes spaced 2 feet apart with an overall length of approximately 16 feet. our incandescent mini lights stand head and shoulders above the retail-grade mini lights you typically find in big box stores. Pro-grade® Minibrites® are rated at 3,000 hours and UL listed for both indoor and outdoor use. The shunted design allows power to bypass each bulb, so if one lamp burns out the others stay lit. Minibrites feature super-bright bulbs with snap-lock sockets to help prevent vandalism and twisting (the most common reasons for mini light failure). Unlike most retail-grade mini lights, our end-to-end plugs and sockets allow you to connect up to ten 50-light strands with confidence. Minibrites are available in 22-gauge green or white wire in 50- or 100-light strings. Lights are spaced at 3”x 6” x 3” (except where noted below). Installation is easy with no poly bag or tray to clean up. Just undo the wire tie and put these little tough guys to work. Add 40% for less-than-case orders.

As the name suggests, the All-Application Clip performs many functions. This clip can be mounted on rain gutters, under shingles or on tile roofs. Large C-base light sets fit into the clip arms securely and the arms can be twisted to make pinchers that will also hold mini lights or icicle strands. Since we began offering LED holiday lighting about a decade ago, many of our customers have asked if we could also provide LED lights for everyday use in the home. Well, now we do. The light-emitting diodes used in all of our home and landscape LED lights are manufactured by Cree, the recognized world leader in LED technology. And just like our holiday LEDs, Creative Displays’ home and landscape lights use about 80% less electricity than incandescents and can last up to 20, 30 or even 50 times longer! once you replace your inefficient incandescents with LED lights, you may never have to replace them again.

LANDSCAPE LED LIGhTINGWhen it comes to landscape lighting, a complex, cumbersome lighting system is the last thing you need. Low-voltage LED lighting systems are easier to install and give you greater flexibility in lighting effects, lamp positioning and overall illumination. The energy efficiency and long life of LEDs mean fewer replacements compared to halogens or incandescents, and no loss of color due to age or voltage drops. These advanced LED landscape lights feature an IC driver instead of an electrolytic capacitor, thus eliminating the most problematic part of a typical LED landscape lamp. Aside from their aesthetic beauty, our commercial-grade, failure-resistant landscape LEDs provide a greater degree of safety around paths, steps, driveways and water accents, while deterring vandals and intruders.

WhOLE hOUSE LED LIGhTINGCreative Displays’ indoor LED lights for the home last about 25 times longer than standard incandescent bulbs and are available in either warm white or cool white. The warm white bulbs emit a yellowish light that’s similar to that of a typical incandescent, while the cool white varieties provide a bluish starlit glow, similar to a halogen lamp.

A-19 LEDCreative Displays now offers both 8-watt and 15-watt A-19 LED bulbs for the home. The 8-watt bulb produces light similar to that of a 60-watt incandescent bulb, while the 15-watt bulb is a suitable replacement for a 100-watt incandescent. They’re completely dimmable with a standard E26 base that screws into a typical lamp socket or overhead fixture, and are rated at 50,000 hours. The 1,100-lumen bulb was designed and custom-manufactured specifically for Creative Displays. Both bulbs are available in cool white or warm white.

Eight feet of 2-ply, UV-stabilized vinyl is needed to create each foot of this garland which also features an inner web that equals 10% of its final diameter for a fuller, brighter, longer-lasting product.
