- Director of Research at the Centre for Economic and Social Studies on the Environment (CESSE - ULB) linked to the Institute of Sociology (Faculty of Social, Political and Economic Sciences) of the ULB. This is an interdisciplinary Centre comprising both economists, sociologists, mathematicians and agricultural and civil engineers (since 1990).

- Researcher in the Faculty of Science - ULB - Laboratory of Physical Chemistry, Department of Macromolecules at Interfaces (Directors: Profs. J. JAFFE and J-M. RUYSSCHAERT).

- the structure and behaviour of biological macromolecules on interfaces (oligopeptides and enzymes) using techniques to measure surface pressure and tritium-hydrogen exchanges on the interface between water and air (PhD thesis);

- the enzyme activity of a protein of the cardiac muscle using measurement techniques of surface pressure and luminescence.
