Managed the disposition of a number of operating companies in various industries and acted as the driving force spearheading the rationalization and cost cutting efforts in several turn-around situations including ArkLaTex Petroleum (1984), AMFAC Nurseries and Oregon Garden Products (1985-87).

Have also been responsible for managing Allegro through a number of difficult financial periods, most notably in 2009-2010.

INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS EXPERIENCE/MULTICULTURAL NEGOTIATIONS Responsible for setting up Allegro’s Asian manufacturing and product sourcing between

1999 and the present. Visited and selected manufacturing partners, established quality control protocols and negotiated business terms.

Set up and managed Allegro’s European licensing and physical distribution relationships in Europe and Latin America. Responsible for selecting distribution partners and negotiating terms of trade from 1995 to 2014.

DIGITAL /NEW MEDIA Supervised the development of new media initiatives, including a variety of international

digital distribution arrangements with Apple/iTunes and Amazon, as well as foreign broadcast sales of proprietary film content. Between 2010 and 2014 this business segment grew to a $5 million dollar division with a 40% EBITDA contribution.

PRIVATE EQUITY/DIRECTOR AND ADVISORY ROLES (Recent)

Digital Funding LLC, Investor and Director, 2015 Initiated and helped fund and organize Digital Funding LLC, a royalty trust created to

acquire the digital rights to a portfolio of over 3,000 audio and video recording masters consisting of over 85,000 tracks of music and over 2,000 hours of video.

JVR Realty Associates, Investor and Director, 2009 Financed and participated in the acquisition of a 131,000 square foot industrial

warehouse facility in 2008 and subsequently assisted in its sale in 2016.

Subway Devco (Western Canada), Subway LP, Investor and Advisor, 2008, 2012 Invested and participated in the acquisition of the master franchisor of Subway for

Western Canada (Alberta, British Columbia and the Yukon) with approximately 800 franchised outlets. Advised on market position and business development. Also gave keynote speech on growth strategies at annual franchise sales conference.

Invested and participated in separate LP designed to acquire or start additional, directly owned, Subway franchises. A total of 24 franchises were acquired, Partnership is being merged into Subway Devco.

Vista Broadcast Group, Investor and Advisor, 2010 Invested and participated in the organization of Vista Broadcast Group a company

organized to act as a roll-up vehicle for radio stations in small and mid-sized markets in Western Canada. Advised on digital strategy and internet streaming as well as integration of broadcast and web site development.

Allegro Media Group is a vertically integrated media company that produces, markets and distributes a broad array of CDs (both music and spoken word) and DVDs (both documentary/special interest and theatrical) in a wide variety of distribution channels throughout North America and overseas. From 1989 through 2011, the company grew from approximately $1.2 million in revenues to approximately $90 million in revenues.

Agrogen BiotechnologyPresident 1984-1988

Agrogen was an integrated agricultural biotechnology company focused on developing genetically improved woody plants. The company was also one of the largest producers of ornamental stock in North America with annual sales of approximately $15 million.

As president was responsible for the original acquisition of AMFAC Nurseries in Oregon, Florida Garden products from United Fruit Company and the creation of an R & D effort focused on applying biotechnology to the improvement and cloning of woody ornamental plants.

Arklatex PetroleumPresident 1982-1984

Arklatex was a West Texas based, independent oil exploration and production company. Responsible for initiating its financial turnaround and rebuilding its management team.
