Wednesday, 4th September, 2019.
The Vice-Chancellor, Al-
Hikmah University, Prof.
Taofeek Ibrahim has stated
that the overall development in the
developed countries was not by
chance, but by design of sound
ideologies for life and humanity
because of their value for sanity,
which led to the design and
implementation of mechanisms to
control greed, embezzlement or
mismanagement of resources, with
the passion to make life meaningful
for the c i t izens and other
inhabitants.
The Governor, who was
represented by the Secretary to the
State Government of Osun, Prince
Wole Oyebamiji, declared: “the
recognition of our modest efforts at
giving the best life to our people in
our small space in South-West
Nigeria, through quality service and
equitable distribution of resources,
is highly encouraging.”
In his remarks, the Executive
Governor of the State of Osun, Mr.
Adegboyega Oyetola, said the State
of Osun really deserved the
NADIM awards, as the people of
Osun were guided by the concept of
hard work, service, commitment,
honesty, good neighborliness and
character.

Prof. Taofeek Ibrahim added that

all facets. In his words, “out of the
36 states in Nigeria and the Federal
Capital Territory that were ranked,
using 18 World Development
Indicators, State of Osun bagged 9
awards, including the Overall Best
Award.”

students, the Orientation Programme
was necessary for them for the
attainment of their educational goals

Institution.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor,
Dr. Lateef Oladimeji while addressing
the students, stated that their being in
Al-Hikmah University was a privilege.
He, therefore, advised them to tap from
the fountain of knowledge that Al-
Hikmah University had to offer.
She, therefore, appealed to the
students to be serious, work hard,
attend classes, do assignments and be
prayerful in order to achieve success.
