CEO students made five presentations at the conference and received Gold Winner Certificates for Outstanding Chapter Business and Outstanding CEO Chapter Advisor. We are proud of your accomplishments throughout this academic year! Congratulations to the students involved and their advisor, Dr. Jim Bell! Congratulations to all of our December graduates! 3 Day Startup Texas State Center for Entrepreneurial Action November 13-15, 2015 Sponsored by Ms. Laura Kilcrease, Interim Director, Center for Entrepreneurial Action; Dr. David Cameron, Dr. Jana Minifie, and Dr. Mary Spaeth This event was held to teach entrepreneurial skills to university students in an intense hands-on setting. This proven program provides students the tools they need to start successful companies. Participants gained experience in cross-disciplinary collaboration, brainstorming and ideation, group productivity, ad-hoc leadership and decision-making under time constraints that stimulate creativity and innovation. In order to participate in 3DS, students went through a short application process. In the end, 112 students applied while 86 places were offered. Out of these students, 51 were in attendance—37 undergraduate students, 11 graduate students, & 3 doctoral students. She is now the President of the Southern Management Association for the upcoming year. The SMA 2016 conference will be in Charlotte, NC between October 26th-29th, 2016.
