I obtained my PhD from Gauhati University in 1992.Research Experience: I have been continuing research since 1989 (List of Research Papers & articles enclosed). I am one of the members of the Research Committee of my institution. Moreover, as the editor of the research journal of my college, I have been encouraging a number of young scholars to do research on different themes. One of the scholars has already obtained MPhil degree under my supervision. I am also an approved Supervisor of Research leading to PhD of Dibrugarh University, Assam. Moreover, I am one of the Members of the Departmental Research Committee of Commerce Department of Dibrugarh University.On Going Research Project: I have started a Major Research Project recently as the Project Director granted by the ICSSR, New Delhi.
