ABOUT THE PROGRAM Welcome to the 3rd Annual MIGS – The Next Generation Symposium. This is a unique multi-institutional effort to provide contemporary topics of discussion related to minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and procedures.

A combination of hands-on labs, simulation, cadaveric dissection, didactics and live surgical procedures will be offered throughout the symposium. We encourage an interactive, learner-friendly environment to maximize the educational benefit for participants.

Pre-symposium courses will include cadaveric dissection labs (3 students per cadaver) allowing ample time for dissection and completion of procedures, laparoscopic emergency simulation lab and total laparoscopic hysterectomy and sling placement simulation labs on high-fidelity model. The symposium is designed with world-renowned faculty discussing a multitude of topics and controversial surgical issues. Ample time for discussion, questions and answers is built in to the curriculum. There will be several live surgical procedures presented directly to the symposium center.

We also will host a poster presentation session that will be peer reviewed and judged with prizes awarded for the best posters.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND MIGS Surgeons • MIGS Fellows • Practicing OB/GYN Physicians • NPs & PAs Surgical Assistants • OB/GYN Nurses • Residents & Medical Students

EXHIBITORS We will have a fantastic group of exhibitors who wish to tell you about their services and/or products. They will be at the symposium for all three days. Attendees will have their morning breakfast, breaks and two lunches with the exhibitors.

Take some time to visit with them and get to know more about them. Exhibitors are a vital part of this conference.

WHAT TO WEAR The symposium room is air-conditioned and it is sometimes difficult to keep a moderate temperature for all. We recommend that you bring a jacket or sweater.

PHOTOGRAPHY A photographer will be on-site taking candid shots during the symposium. When you register, you are giving us permission to take and use these photos for future advertisements, brochures, social media, etc.

WI-FI AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES Wi-Fi will be available in the meeting room during the symposium. We strongly urge you to consider bringing an electronic device to take notes instead of using paper. Your notes will be easier to read and organize when you return home. Participants will be able to keep their electronic device charged in the symposium room. In order to be considerate of your fellow attendees we request that you charge one device at a time. Charging two devices at the same time could prevent another attendee from charging their device.

POSTER PRESENTATION SESSION We welcome research cases and especially interesting cases.

Deadline: Submit your abstract for review on or before February 28, 2017.

Size: 48" wide x 36 high" (the symposium will supply backing and easel)

Instructions: Identify if this a poster only, a poster and oral presentation or an oral only presentation. Please email your abstract to: [email protected].
