GOLF PARC ROBERT HERSANT

FOOTGOLF FRENCH OPEN | COURSE GUIDE

WELCOME

Once again I am happy to welcome all of you on the Golf Parc Robert Hersant for the fourth edition of the

FootGolf French Open. This amazing course is even more spectacular this year and will truly test

every aspect of your game. Our focus for The FootGolf French Open is to not only offer you a great course which is so beautiful on

the eye but also a great celebration between FootGolfers, friends and partners which is why in

France we like to think of this Major as an experience you will never forget. In addition with FIFA World Cup

2018 in Russia and some matchs wich will be broadcasted on our giant screen, we promise you some great moments of emotion.

This year we stage the third FIFG major, professionally managed and the exciting introduction of live streaming around the world. It is my vision that the game explodes in the media and whilst fighting a battle with many,I strongly believe that this new way to show people around the world our sport will have a huge impact over the next few years.

We have an amazing opportunity in December with the FIFG FootGolf World Cup in Marrakesh, to catch an international coverage with the most famous sport medias like Golf Channel in the US, Eurosport in Europa or l’Equipe in France. I hope that all presidents, captains and players will be behind us to make this World Cup, the best FootGolf Tournament ever.

FootGolf is growing everywhere especially in France and we now have over 40 FootGolf courses. We want FootGolf to be accessible to all types and standards of player which is why we try to make The French Open totally inclusive with a number of competitions and awards for everyone – I hope you are lucky enough on Sunday afternoon to collect an award for your play like our two french champions, Alexandre RICHER in 2016 and Nicolas COUSIN in 2017 or Matias PERRONE in 2015. If not I trust you will enjoy the experience and will return in 2019.

Romuald PRETOTAFFG President and FIFG FootGolf World Cup Organizer

ADER CAPITALCESSION DE DETTE « Qui cède ses dettes s’enrichit »

MARKING THE BALL

On the Green It is compulsory to mark your ball on the area designated as the ‘green’Players are not allowed to use a competitor’s ball already on the green to their advantage. Penalty +1 kick to the player who kicked.

Fairway ONLY if instructed to do so by a fellow player OR if the ‘wind’ rule is in play.

THE ‘WIND’ RULE In the event of high wind: TD will announce ‘Wind Rule in play’ – Players will be allowed to replace any ball which moved due to the wind ONLY if the ball was stationary. The player must raise his hand and call ‘Stop’ as soon as the ball has stopped – at this point all players in the group must raise their hand if in agreement. The majority decision will decide. Balls CAN be marked on the fairway when the wind rule is in play.

WATER HAZARDS All water hazards are clearly defined as ‘water hazard’ (yellow) or ‘lateral water hazard’ (red). Players are not permitted to touch or move any plants, leaves, stones or twigs (Penalty +2). Players are allowed to move litter or hazard sticks. Exception: Players are permitted to fairly take their stance but cannot influence the situation of the ball.

Please follow this guideline:• Yellow 1) Play the ball as it lies without penalty.2) Place a ball on the imaginary line linking the flag and the last point it entered or crossed the hazard line. This point can be any distance. Penalty +13) Place a ball at the location of the previous kick. Penalty +1

• Red Above PLUS 1) Place a ball within 2 metres of the point of entry. Penalty +1 2) Place a ball on the opposite side of the hazard within 2 metres of the hazard line but NOT closer to the hole. Penalty +1

• Drop Zones As an additional option some holes may feature a drop zone which will be clearly displayed. Penalty +1. Drop zones will be listed prior to practice.

FOOTGOLF FRENCH OPEN | COURSE GUIDE

BUNKERSAFFG apply the ‘standing kick’ bunker rule. Your standing foot must be planted at all times during the kick, no step or run up is allowed. Please rake all bunkers after play. (Penalty +1 plus replay shot).

OUT OF BOUNDS Any area designated by white posts and the boundary of the course. The player has only one option which is to return to the location of their previous kick under the penalty of +1.

BARRICADES A barricade is anything artificial including sprinkler head, paths, roads and furniture.Movable barricades (Flags, banners, Water hazard poles etc)Immovable barricades (Grandstand, clubhouse, roads and paths etc)

Options: 1) Play the ball as it lies or 2) Relief (Nearest point +1 metre) will be permitted in the following situations.

• Sprinkler Head Yes. If the players ball, intended line of play or position of the player is impeded when on the green or fairway only.

• Paths & Roads Yes. If the players ball or position of the player is impeded at any point on the course.

• Furniture Yes. If the players ball, intended line of play or position of the player is impeded when on the green or fairway only. Examples of furniture: grandstand, marquee, benches, waste bins and fixed signage.

DISPUTE If there is a dispute on the course: Contact TD and call groups behind to play past. Alternatively complete the hole with one situation and then repeat the play/hole in the other situation.

SLOW PLAY Pace of Play Guideline – See shotgun and tee times guide. Available in score centre*. *If all groups are behind pace of play then the guide will be updated for subsequent rounds.

Each group will be allotted a specific time to complete 18 holes in accordance with the time chart. When a group falls behind it must regain it’s position. Time for rulings and walking time is included in the allotted time and calculated within the buffer.

Out of position refers to the group when they take more than the allotted time to finish a check point hole.

• Penalties In the event of slow play: A) Initial warning to group B) Final Warning to group or player C) Penalty to player +1 kickD) Second penalty to player will be DQ

• Procedure When a group is out of position at a check point they will be notified by TD and given an initial warning. They will be expected to regain it’s position by the next check point. If at the next check point they are still out of position then the group will be issued a final warning and the TD or marshal will follow that group. If any player in the group is concerned about the non responsive fellow competitor then a marshal will be elected to follow that group and time each player.

The TD will time each player according to player timings.

• Check points At the completion of each 3 hole stretch.

• Player Timings In the event a single player is playing slow then the TD will time those players involved and use the following table to decide if they are playing slow. Time taken to calculate yardages, alignment or decision making will be taken into account. Timings start as soon as the first player reaches their ball or the previous kick has stopped/been marked.First player: 60 secondsSubsequent players: On the tee: 40 seconds when it is there turn to playOn the fairway: 40 seconds when it is their turn to playOn the green: 40 seconds when it is their turn to playAny player deemed to make no effort to get the group back into position will be issued a penalty (Examples of this include talking to fellow players not in their group and/or scoring on the green rather than the next tee)
