“What an interesting, informative and
enlightening program!” said some Rotarians
that were present last Thursday.
Corpus Christi Police Department Senior
Officer Kirk Stowers volunteers with Crime
Stoppers which has been making an impact on
crime in our community for 30 years now.
Did you know that you, too, could volunteer
with Crime Stoppers? They’ll gladly accept
monetary donations as well.

Did You Know?
A former Ambassadorial
Scholar to Valparaiso, Chile,
from our Club, Jennifer
Walden, has joined the
Rotary Club of Humble in
Houston. Jennifer was
awarded the scholarship in
2004 and was abroad in the
2005-2006 academic year.
I guess you could say,
scholarship donations create
a lasting impact!
2 by 22
As announced last week, one of
President Tim Stephens’ goals is “2
by 22”. In case you missed it, the
goal is to raise our Club Endowment
Fund to $2M by 2022. Currently
we are at $400K+.
While that may sound like a lot, it is
very much in line with what other
clubs our size have in their own
endowments. And it would
generate around $80K per year that
we could use for scholarships,
projects, and donations to the
Rotary Foundation. Imagine the
good we could do in perpetuity.
You are encouraged to be one of the
first Legacy Leaders with a gift of
$1,000 to the Club’s Endowment
Fund. Make your check out today
and proudly display your Legacy
Leader lapel pin.
