SOCIAL PROGRAM
SOCIAL PROGRAMThe following social activities are organized, for which you should have signed up duringregistration:
• On Monday evening, a Welcome reception will be held at the Café Brücke onthe main campus (close to the mensa). The reception will begin at 18:00.• OnWednesday afternoon, we offer an excursion to Zeche Zollverein, a formerindustrial site and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Buses will pick us up at 15:00 nearthe auditorium on the main campus. There will be a guided tour of ca. 90 minutesin English and German. Sturdy shoes are recommended.• OnWednesday evening, the conference dinner will take place at the Restaurant“Die Kokerei” on the area of the Zeche Zollverein. If you take part in the excursion,a short walk across the area will get you to the restaurant. The dinner starts at19:00. After the dinner, you are free to return on your own; the last tram leavesfrom Zollverein at 23:39 (and every 30 minutes before that).
