As a newcomer, you will probably undergo conside-

rable change in a number o key areas o your liesimultaneously. Functioning in uncertain or new situa-tions requires much more time and energy than stayingwith whats amiliar to us. In very new situations, ourusual resources and support systems may be absent ormaladapted, and new resources not yet identied. Theaccumulation o many changes over a relatively shortperiod whether in the proessional or personal are-as o lie leads to an accumulation o pressure, pos-sibly triggering eelings o stress and even overwhelm. The stress decreases only gradually, as whatever is newbecomes more amiliar, and habitual levels o unctio-nality slowly return. The aim o this event is to help youidentiy the tools you have at your disposal to ace thediculties and problems a new situation like this maybring to you, in a unny way and with people experien-cing your same eelings.
