Meet SIR Samuel at the Main Overlook of Fall Creek Falls for a short but strenuous hike

Meet Ranger Kristen at the Fall Creek Falls overlook for a chance to learn some tips

and tricks about painting our park’s scenic waterfalls with watercolors! Feel free to

bring your own supplies to ensure participation!

7:00pm – 10:00pm – Two nights for Night Sky Viewing and Orientation to Astronomy – Meet

at the Rec Hall to learn how to use star wheels, telescopes, and other astronomically cool

gadgets! Once it gets dark, we’ll put our new skills to use viewing the night sky. Only red

flashlights please so we can protect our night vision!

10:00 am Recycled Paper Making

Meet SIR Erica in the Rec Hall to try your hand at making recycled paper! This fun craft

will have a 15 person limit and will be first come first serve.

11:00 am Primitive Trapping

Meet SIR Gavin at the Nature Center for a short walk into the forest where Gavin will

teach you a few historic ways that people have caught food and how these

techniques can still be used today!

Meet the Friends of Fall Creek Falls at the Rec. Hall to brighten up your wardrobe!

There will be a fee of $2 per person or you can purchase a white shirt for $5 or a

printed Fall Creek Falls shirt for $10 from the friends. Cash only can be accepted.

7:00 pm Astronomy Night

End your day’s adventures in the Rec Hall near the Village area to learn more about

what can be seen in our night sky! This program will start in the Rec Hall with a

discussion about celestial objects and information about the night sky and will then

move outside for some viewing and observation using powerful telescopes.

11:00 am Hike to Fall Creek Falls

Meet SIR Samuel at the Nature Center for a 2-mile hike to the Fall Creek Falls Overlook

and back! Please wear sturdy shoes, bring plenty of water, and look forward to

learning more about our park and its ecology!

favorite animal and take it home. All you need to bring is yourself and your creativity!

11:00 am Hike to the Base of the Falls

Meet SIR Gavin at the Fall Creek Falls Overlook to go on a guided hike down one of

our park’s most iconic trails! Expect to learn about park ecology, geology, and hear

a few park stories along the way!
