Progress Plan Who Are You? I am an A Level student in which I am doing a preliminary film, which will include opening a door, sitting at a desk and have dialogue with another person. The Big Idea In 25 Words Or Less The big idea for my preliminary film is for my main character to reject a job from an unknown person but because she has rejected the offer from this person they are warned there will be serious consequences. Two weeks later when she goes to college she receives unknown phone calls and texts but don’t know who the person is so she continues to freak out and attempt to leave college but remembers she left her jacket upstairs so goes back upstairs and she doesn’t know someone is hiding in the room. When she enters the room the door slams shut. What Will You Include – Shot Reserve Shot/Long Shot/Close Up When my character is sitting at the table having dialogue with another person I will use a mid shot with a tilt so the audience will be able to see the characters facial expression more clearer, also the other character will not be seen apart from their hands. For the main part of my film I will include long shots, close ups and extreme close ups. I will also follow the 180degree rule so the audience won’t be confused if the camera randomly moves. Also the rule of thirds will be followed so the camera shot is evident to the audience and easier for the main focus point to be evident too. Where Will You Film? Who Will You Cast? I will film in various different locations within my sixth form as the main part of my film is based in a college. For my cast I will use people who are also in my A level media class as they will be available during media lessons. When Will You Film? I will begin to film once I have finished planning and organized everything for the film.
