Brief Description Boys Hope Girls Hope Pro-Bono Project

Boys Hope Girls Hope is an international organization centered on cultivating youth

empowerment through the foundation of education and holistic support.

The Esperanza Juvenil Educational Center serves the children in our residential

program and students from the community who will be a part of Esperanza Juvenil

through university graduation. Esperanza Juvenil's educational program aims to

develop children who are creative thinkers, problem solvers, collaborators and

"doers" -- action-oriented people who will create positive change in Guatemala.

Objective(s) Abogadas en Guate, Transforma decided to partner with Esperanza Juvenil with the

purpose of working with a group of 42 girls at their facilities, working through a

curriculum focused on woman empowerment in all areas of life, focusing their

empowerment for their own benefit as well as that of their community. Our first two

sessions have focused on a basic training in human rights and human worth. The

girls part of the program come from challenging backgrounds, so emphasizing the

importance of who they are and their basic Human Rights was our top priority.

Future sessions will focus on working in specific areas of life that impact our

community: woman empowerment in business, law, family, art, sports, and

leadership. Each session is conducted by an expert in the field.
