Progression on front cover

At this stage of the front page. There was some editing that had to be done. I had to use the pain fill tool to make sure that there was ‘crack effect on my magazine cover. This crack effect appeared when editing the main image. This consumed a lot of time and I had to make sure that I selected the correct area of the picture in order to delete it as it was very difficult to get back the selected part of the image. The white areas of the image indicated the parts of the cover page I had to spray paint. Overall this wasn’t as hard or time consuming than actually editing the image.

This was he end result of the spray paint. It s easy to tell the difference from before. By using this tool it allowed my magazine to look as professional as possible. I also used the spray paint tool for the ‘exclusive’ at the bottom of the page. Originally the ‘exclusive’ was placed in a white box which overlapped the main image. By using the spray tool, I was able to remove part of the white box behind the text so it didn’t effect the main image.

This was the original idea I had for a contents page. I felt that the black and white contents page looked rather professional. However linking back to my research before producing the contents page, I came up with the conclusion that the main image did not indicate the age range for my target audience. The editing of the image has not ever been used for a teen pop magazine. Which is the chosen sub genre of my magazine.

After editing the contents page, completely I had decided to make the image colourful. As my target audience was of those between the age range of 13-16 year old girls. In order to support this idea, I referred back to the magazine that I used as a plan throughout my coursework. This was ‘we love pop’ as it was the magazine that was most similar to my chosen sub genre.
