Here I have added the basic institutional
information at the bottom of the lm
poster. As well as the actors and actresses
names at the top of the lm poster. The
institutional information includes data on
the directors, editors (etc.) As well as the
dedicated website. Providing a dedicated
website of the production compan gives a
professional impression. At this point I also
added to the institutional information. I
added logo!s and dates to ma"e it seem
more realistic and professional. I got the
idea for doing this from researching into
di#erent lm posters and loo"ing at what
After e$perimenting with multiple fonts and
as"ing for people!s opinions I found that
this %&enna 'ue! stle that I developed from
the ont suirrel website suited the title for
m lm poster. I have positioned the title in
the centre of the poster slightl to the left
of the protagonist himself. This indicates
that this could be the character!s name,
additionall how he is a signicant
character and his importance. The
handwritten font of the title ma"es it seem
more personal and encourages a reader
and writer relationship.
Here is the still shot I chose to use as the
main image for m lm poster. Initiall, it
was a landscape mid shot however after
editing and e$perimenting with some
di#erent e#ects and was of positioning the
image I made it into a portrait re*ection. I did
this because I felt it added a sense of
comple$it to the image and developed the
mster behind it. Although uite a simple
shot it still manages to successfull set a
scene as well as encourage particular
thoughts + for e$ample is this place
important to the character- h- /tc. The
high "e lighting ensures a clear and dened
image whilst accuratel represents the time

Here I started added some star ratings and
review phrases to add a sense of realism
and professionalism to the lm poster.
Hence the realistic comments stated on the
poster provide the audience with a small
insight into what the lms li"e in terms of
its impression when watching and therefore
ma"es it reliable as it has been stated from
these large lm maga0ine institutions. It
was at this point in the process of ma"ing
the lm poster that I decided, based on
some feedbac" from other people and on
m own, to get rid of the blac" line that
occupied the centre of the poster as I felt it
1n the nal poster, I have incorporated all
of the general conventions used on a lm
poster + institutional information, star
ratings, actors and actresses names, title,
ta line and a date of release in order to
ma"e it appear as professional and
realistic as possible. I used Photoshop to
blend the line that originall went down
the middle of the image, so that it didn!t
interrupt the picture almost. And thus have
no harsh lines within the image. The loo" I
have tried to emulate is as though a 2ritish
traditional short lm, and b incorporating
the 2ritish countrside as the location
