When Progressive Infotech Pvt. Ltd. was formed in1998, the technology market was going through aperiod of growth in the transformed laissez faireeconomic environment. Taking the remote path with HP OpenViewWhen Progressive Infotech was expanding itsoperations in the managed services space, it felt theneed to introduce advanced technology into itsprocesses. It set up a high-tech Remote InfrastructureManagement Center (RIMC) at its facility in NOIDA(suburban Delhi). The objective was to providecustomers with robust, integrated, and high-quality24x7 predictive managed infrastructure services at aglobal level. Its requirements included networkmanagement, system management, datamanagement, application management, and servicemanagement. “As the need was to create a tool-based facility with reduced human dependence, itwas important to deploy a specialised technologysolution,” says Garg.

Its RIMC is currently a 30-seat,round-the-clock facility, which is scalable to 150 seatsfor delivering over 160,000 shifts annually. It has adetailed business continuity plan and a third-partydisaster recovery site.
Global openings with HP OpenViewProgressive Infotech has since emerged as a leadingplayer in the managed services marketplace, offering24x7 services to its domestic and internationalcustomers, spread out across different geographiesand time zones.
