Diamondback Terrapin TurtlesHead Start program through the Terrapin Institute

• Geared to teach students more about our state’s turtle and how we can protect their habitats.

• Jeff Popp, guest speaker from the institute, delivered two turtles and discussed the obstacles the Terrapins have to face in the wild and how we all could take a part in their survival.

Turtles will be released in June at the Horsehead Nature Center on the Eastern Shore.

Service Learning Fundraiser money will be donated to the Terrapin Institute on the release date.
