To increase box storage capacity due to increased demand and the launch of numerous ranges to improve product choice and speed of delivery for customers. The undertaking by GROUPAUTO required considerable investment to future proof the capacity of the distribution centre.

Avanta had to design a suitable storage solution that could ‘tie in’ to an existing rack supported structure without compromising the amount of automotive parts that were to be stored.

The racking system is designed to store products on pallets 1200mm wide x 1000mm deep x up to 1500mm high x 1000 kgs maximum load. Organised into 1 x single sided runs @ 13 bays long. c/w

double sided runs @ 7 bays long.


REQUIREMENT:

Avanta UK successfully tendered for the pallet racking project, including the sprinklers and an advanced smoke detection system.

The project had a strict 6 week build programme

There is circa 40 individual storage units within this installation with a 10.6m seamless biscuit jointed industrial lino worktop on the main run. There are multiple storage cabinets for bulk storage, bins for consumables and drawers for tooling.

Bespoke depth units were utilised and a mobile drawer unit was included in the package so that tools could be taken to the job if required.
