Timothy Liedel ITGM 705 October 25, 2010 PROJECT C PROPOSAL! PROJECT C PROPOSAL So for my project, I would like to do something viral! I want to do a game that involves searching the web, watching video’s collecting clues and solving some kind of mystery or question. I am going to include the use of several websites and different techniques; it will start with a story arc and you will have to find your way through the websites and emails and what not to make your way to the end of the project. This project was inspired by several viral marketing ad’s I have seen in the past year or so; I think I’d like to try my hand at it, and see just how difficult it might be to set something as such up. Basic story has not been set up yet, but I am hoping to have something somewhat similar to that of the techniques used for HvZ; Humans vs. Zombies, which is one of the viral marketing ploys I was involved in last year and found it was quite entertaining The goal of this project will not so much be to win or lose, rather to solve a question or mystery as stated. Websites, such as Face book, Vimeo, YouTube, Flickr, Twitter, etc… will be used to achieve this goal; also implementing emails possibly, that might make things more complicated than need be but from this aspect, emails are definitely still a possibility. The decision on whether this will be more game based or PRODUCT marketing bases hasn’t been decided I could really go either route, trying to sell you a product by virally introducing it to you. The audience for this project can really be anyone accessible to the Internet. As long as someone has access and has the beginning start off for the project, then they will have all the access they need to complete any and all of the tasks or directions that are given during the project.

I  am  going  to  include  the  use  of  several  websites  and  different  techniques;  it  will  start  with  a  story  arc  and  you  will  have  to  find  your  way  through  the  websites  and  e-‐mails  and  what  not  to  make  your  way  to  the  end  of  the  project. Websites,  such  as  Face  book,  Vimeo,  YouTube,  Flickr,  Twitter,  etc…  will  be  used  to  achieve  this  goal;  also  implementing  e-‐mails  possibly,  that  might  make  things  more  complicated  than  need  be  but  from  this  aspect,  e-‐mails  are  definitely  still  a  possibility.
