Potions Held: Quality Assurance/Quality Control Inspector

I was responsible to oversee all civil and electrical construction activities were conducted in compliance with the design specifications. Administration of Quality Assurance plan. Ensured all environmental, health, and safety rules were followed.Coordinated civil and electrical subcontractor work. Completed Insepection Test Plan(ITP) and Test records (ITR). Monitored correctness of construction enforcing quality assurance. Participated in site meetings. Prepared daily reports and acted pro-actively to avoid delays in schedule. Prepared field mark-ups for records as-built drawings.

Bechtel Corporation / Hanna Region Transmission Development and Eastern Alberta Transmission Line Project

Hanna Project: Included constructing 245 km of new 240KV transmission line; constructing approximately 110km of new 144KV transmission line; constructing six new substations and modifying 14 existing substations. Erection and installation of 1300 tower foundations, tower assembly and tower erections.

Eastern Alberta line: Included 500kv direct current comprising 485 km of 500 KV DC line and two converter stations. The EATL construction included right-of-ways, geotechnical work, installation of tower foundations, tower assembly and 1,387 tower erections, as well as the construction of converter stations.

Position Held: Field Construction Coordinator

I coordinated and oversaw the field executed work ensuring the contractor met spec technical compliances, quality, safety and physical progress of the work met contractual obligations. I monitored environmental Right of Way requirements and restrictions coordinating with environmental specialist and property landowners to resolve issues. I reported to the Project Manager any violations/deviations in respects to job safety plan and OHSA/IHSA . I reviewed and responded to contractor technical queries and coordinated with engineering on technical issues. I prepared daily report deficiency lists, evaluated change requests, participated in final inspections, turnover package development and punch list identifications. Carried out final construction review and participated in post contract performance evaluation and lessons learned sessions.

Surespan Power Ltd. /Skookum Transmission Project

Page 2: Project Experience

Consisted of 22km of 138KV transmission line on 78 wood pole structures twin H frame from Skookum Power House to Cheekeye Substation. Constructing in mountainous terrain, alongside BC Hydro’s 500KV right of way. Project included major highway crossings, helicopter stringing, construction in high induction corridor.

Position Held: Superintendent

I managed daily construction activities, scheduling, safety, materials, and contractors ensuring contract compliance. I participated in regular daily site meetings reviewing and monitoring technical performances including quality and contractual obligations. I reported to project manager any deviations recommending actions to improve performances. I maintained daily reporting.

Valard Construction Ltd. /NWT Transmission Project

The NTL extended BC Hydro’s transmission service 344 km with construction of new 287KV line and a new substation providing an interconnection point for industrial development. The line extended between Skeena Substation near Terrace BC and the new substation near Bob Quinn Lake.

Position Held: Stringing Line Operations QCQA coordinator

As QCQA coordinator I assured all work performed met safety and quality requirements verifying the technical performance of contractors conforming to contractual obligations. I documented daily written reports of work progression ensuring as-built drawings were generated accurately and in a timely fashion. I reviewed and responded to technical queries, participated in site inspections and reported on performance and progress to Project Manager. I recommended actions to improve performance and participated in pre and post contract performance evaluations and lessons learned meeting.

Pacific Industrial Electric / US Military Base Guantanamo Bay System upgrade

Project included the distribution construction and maintenance upgrade conversions from 4KV to 16KV also 2400 to 4160 sub-station conversion as well as the installation of multiple 950 KV Neg-Micon wind turbines.

Position Held: Distribution Superintendent, Site Superintendent

I was responsible for all project construction, installation, scheduling of the daily operations including system design, interconnect, sub-station and reconfigurations.
