I. Executive Summary Executive Summary should contain narrative summary of all sections as well as answering the following questions: Why is this structure important to Chesapeake? Why would the present plans for rehabilitation succeed?

1. Summary Narrative Summary narrative of the history of the land and structure.
2. Land History
A. Deeds Copies of deeds from City records.
B. Surveys of Property Copies of surveys from City records.
C. Land Use History of land use documentation (farming, battlefield, etc.) and if available, documentation of archaeological evidence (Native American artifacts, Revolutionary and Civil War artifacts).
3. Structural History
A. Architectural Design Include drawings (if available) and narrative of the original design, additions, architectural style(s) and significance of architectural style(s).
B. Materials Include narrative and documentation (letters, invoices, etc. if available) pertaining to materials used and source (if local, shipped from elsewhere, etc.)
4. Community History
A. Summary Narrative Summary narrative including biographies of the owners of the property and the significance of the owners / property in the local community / nation in written and oral memory.

B. Public Written Memory Copies of public written memory such as school records, newspapers, advertisements, etc.
C. Private Written Memory Copies of private written memory such as diaries, letters, etc. - to include of published private papers such as memoirs. If documents are extensive and reproduction not feasible, then a narrative summary and reference the archival location.
D. Oral History Transcripts of interviews of community members or other persons having proximate relational knowledge of the property, owners, or occupants. Examples of the latter would be persons who knew someone involved with the property, owners, or occupants but were not themselves direct witnesses.
