Cincinnati State school year is 11,500 students.

The current number of parking spaces is 2,153 which is insufficient to accommodate the enrollment growth.

3667 Central Parkway for Cincinnati State. This will include approximately 100
additional spaces to allow for the projected 11,500 enrollment for the 2014-2015 academic year.

additional parking for students, faculty, and staff. This project will incorporate a work flow process that will:Demolish and level land for blacktopInstall access entrance and exit gate

Risk Analysis/Management Budget (now and future)
Over budget Set up a contingency fund
Under budget Pay dividends to employees for hard work
Sustainability of lot Setup a paid maintenance crew, or consider out of scope
Contingency budget used completely Request additional funds, limit spending.
Delays Individual contractors fail to meet time frames
Set time limits that are earlier than absolutely necessary Delivery times on material
Order materials before they are needed. Availability of funds
Keep a "quick spend" account.
Risk Analysis/Management Cont. Weather
Rain Tornadoes Snow Acts of "nature" Temperature
Set up a contingency plan to allow extra time for goals. Under promise, over achieve.
Equipment Wrong equipment
Order equipment from reputable sources. Equipment failure
Acquire insurance for all equipment Add contingency time for possible failure to allow time to fix equipment.
Maintenance Out of scope
Risk Analysis/Management Cont. Vandalism
Install security cameras, and sufficient lighting Electrical issues
Take precautions to cover wires, and wiring layoutRequired permits (land, sewer, zoning)
Suitable land Make sure land is suitable to build on before accepting project
Sewer runoff Install drainage system
Zoning Apply for zoning licenses while in the planning phase.
Noise ordinance Get approval before project.
OSHA Hire employees trained on OSHA rules and regulations.
Risk Analysis/Management Cont.Problems with demolition (asbestos, lead)
AsbestosLeadGround could be "fill"Pipes could burst (water, gas, etc)

Lessons Learned1. Budgeting time2. Separating the “Substance from the Style”3. Communication and process of dividing work and working
together4. The overall level of detail that a project requires5. Verbal brainstorming did not work well for our group
We found that working on items individually and coming back together as a group was more beneficial
Suggestions:A. Set aside time to get to know your team members, this will
prove more productive in learning each member’s learning, working and communication style.
B. We found that it was easier to contribute information while in-person meetings – after having time to work on individual items.
