Learn the fundamentals of project management. This course covers the basics of project management, the phases of a project’s life cycle, how to prioritise projects and project planning.

This workshop is intended to familiarise participants with the most common terms and practices relating to project management.

This course is ideal for aspiring project managers, project support personnel or project team members who have no formal qualification in project management. This is a beginner course and follows the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) guide.

This course will enable you to strengthen your skills and knowledge in project management and will give you the building blocks for higher level project management qualifications such as PRINCE2. The course covers techniques and tools required in planning, implementing and monitoring project scope, cost, project lifecycle, work breakdown structure, project scheduling, quality management, risk management and more.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will attain the nationally recognised Australian qualification of BSB41515 Certificate IV in Project Management Practice.

Being a group facilitator or facilitating meetings and events requires knowledge of the principles, skills and concepts involved. This qualification helps you to develop the expertise to become an accomplished facilitator.

PRINCE2® (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a process-based approach for project management providing an easily tailored and scalable method for the management of all types of projects. The method is the de-facto standard for project management in the UK, and is practiced worldwide. In Australia, many local, state and federal government departments use PRINCE2® as the standard to deliver projects.

AVELING offers two certification levels for PRINCE2® - the Foundation and the Practitioner Level, both aimed at Project Managers and aspiring Project Managers. The purpose of the Foundation level is to confirm that you have sufficient knowledge and understanding of the PRINCE2® method to be able to work effectively with, or as a member of, a project management team working within an environment supporting PRINCE2®. The foundation level is also a pre-requisite for the Practitioner certification.

The PRINCE2® Practitioner qualification will teach you to apply PRINCE2® to the running and managing of a project within an environment supporting PRINCE2®.
