TALENT TRANSFORMATIONPART OF

Leading Business

Page 2: Project Management Fundamentals - MCE · usual”, MCE’s new “Project Management Fundamentals®” equips you with the language, ... • The programme case study: a single project

After participating in this programme, you will be able to:

• Apply “Best Practices” in project management, such as:

• Effectively define a project and successfully participate in its initiation

• Create realistic project plans: identify project requirements, risks and stakeholders as well as scope, schedule and cost project plans

• Implement those project plans successfully

• Monitor and control projects during their execution

• Close projects and identify lessons learned

• Work more effectively in project teams

• Network and learn from a diverse group of peers from different functions, industries and countries

By the end of the session you will have:

• Acquired new tools, and applied them to your “personal case” and to a programme case study, working through practical group exercises, in role plays and with ample discussion

• Developed a personal action plan to implement new skills back in your work-place

• Gained 24 PDUs. This programme is PMBOK® certified by the Project Management Institute® (PMI)

How will you benefit?

This programme is for you if you

• Have no formal training and little or no project management experience yet are involved in projects and project management.

• Need to sharpen your practice to be more confident and efficient in project work.

• Want to work towards certification as a project manager

Who should attend?

Have you been assigned to manage a project or to join a project as a team member? You probably have heard or read a lot on project management yet, where do you start? How do you structure and plan the project, how do you implement it effectively and how do you deliver the intended benefits?

How able are you to establish and explain the scope, schedule, cost and quality of your projects? How do you measure progress and success against those factors?

In this world of continuous innovation and rapid change, where projects are more and more viewed as “business-as-usual”, MCE’s new “Project Management Fundamentals®” equips you with the language, skill-set, competence and awareness of team dynamics to get the best out of yourself and the project team members.

This programme will give you the confidence to better engage with projects as a member of a project team and as a project manager.
