    The Diana Award was founded as a legacy to Diana, Princess of Wales belief that young people have the

    power to change the world for the better.

    Since 1999, the Diana Award has recognised 39,000 young people who have made a positive difference totheir community. By shining the spotlight on these young people with the Diana Award, it establishes

    them as role models to other young people. But receiving a Diana Award is only the beginning.

    Through the Diana Network, our Anti-bullying and Mentoring Programmes, we engage, encourage and

    motivate young people to keep up the good work!

    We're looking for an enthusiastic new team member to join our London team, to manage all aspects of

    data entry, collating, analysing and disseminating impact information to the rest of the team. They will

    also provide administrative support to the team.

    The successful candidates will be responsible for reporting monthly on progress of ambassadors and key

    programme outcomes, providing information to the general public about the programme and anyAntibullying enquiries via email, telephone and face-to-face, collating and updating our data management

    systems and handling a steady stream of enquiries.

    You will need to have an excellent understanding of working with young people, be self-motivated,

    organised and highly IT literate, good working knowledge of Word, Excel and databases and an

    understanding of mail-merge. It is also essential that you have great administrative / office management

    skills.

    You will also need to have first class communication and negotiation skills to help you effectively

    communicate and relate to a wide range of people from students to parents, head teachers to youth

    workers, civil servants to government officials.

    The successful candidates must have the ability to work independently and manage a range of tasks under

    pressure. Ongoing support and training will be provided. If you are looking for a challenging and fulfilling

    Diana Award Job Description

    Post Title: Project Officer - Information and Support

    Context: The prime purpose of this role is to collate, process and disseminate

    information relating to the Diana Award Anti-Bullying Ambassadors in a timely and accurate

    manner and to produce reports required by the organisations management team and external

    stakeholders.

    Key Purpose:

    To monitor and record the impact of involvement in the Ambassadorsprogramme on the young people and their schools/communities.

    To manage all aspects of data entry, collating, analysing anddisseminating research as well as sharing good practise across the

    sector.

    Responsible to: Anti-Bullying Programme Manager

    Key Duties:

    Information Function:

    Operate a cycle of data cleansing activities to ensure robust and accurate data is available. Collating data regarding ambassadors, youth board members and schools Reporting monthly on progress of ambassadors and key programme outcomes through the

    Diana Award impact framework

    Analyse data using a variety of tools and strategies Providing information to the general public about the programme and any Antibullying

    enquiries via email, telephone and face-to-face.

    Logging all enquiries onto the database Collating baseline information about all ambassadors Assist in collating and disseminating research by sending out and collating quarterly surveys

    to all participating schools to monitor progress.

    Logging survey reports on to the database Marketing, advertising and publicising the Anti-Bullying programme/services

    Collecting and analysing data for evaluation of the service in order to write high qualityreports and publications

    Working closely with other teams, especially fundraising and communications Managing content for the Anti-Bullying platform. This will include social networking sites

    such as Twitter and Facebook.

    Case studies - identifying and writing up case studies of Anti-Bullying Ambassador schoolsfor evaluation and PR purposes.

    Stakeholder newsletter - produce a bi-monthly e-newsletter for key stakeholders Producing end of year report and evaluation Building and managing relationships, developing rapport and working effectively with a

    diverse range of people, sharing knowledge and skills to deliver shared goals.

    Office Administration

    Manage the administration of the London team Facilitate the smooth operation of the Antibullying Ambassadors Team. Liaise with internal & external contacts on a wide range of issues. To complete all day to day admin tasks Provide a solid support function to the Team. Take incoming phone calls and handle customer/client inquiries. Deal with incoming and outgoing post To organise travel, hotel booking, hospitality and catering when required To manage document filing systems (electronic and paper) To utilise a variety of software packages to produce correspondence and documents

    and maintain presentations, spreadsheets and databases

    To attend meetings, including minute taking and chasing actions where required

    Key Skills/Characteristics

    Essential

    High-level numeracy skills Excellent computer literacy including understanding of complex spreadsheets and

    databases

    Excellent organisational and time management skills including the ability to prioritisesimultaneous projects to meet deadlines

    High standards of accuracy and attention to detail, both in written and numerical work Ability to work on own initiative whilst also working well as part of a team Willingness to undertake appropriate professional development Excellent written and good oral communication skills, including the ability to

    communicate ideas and projects concisely to a range of audiences

    Considerable tact and discretion is required in dealing with highly confidentialinformation and sometimes vulnerable data/young people and initiative in handling the

    day-to-day operations of the office

    Strong writing skills are essential in a way that reflects the values of the award andcurrent and potential young people (who range in age from aged 6 to early twenties)

    Good judgment and organisation skills Understanding of the Internet Ability to juggle a number of projects and campaigns simultaneously

    Experience with common office software such as email, word processing, presentationsand spreadsheets

    Ability to analyse and summarise policy information and judge relevance to theorganisation
