What is Project & Programme Management? Let’s start with Project Management, which is the process used to successfully manage a large number of complex

interrelated tasks through the application of methods, knowledge, skills and experience to achieve the desired

objective, within budget and on time. A project is defined as a transient endeavour that will produce beneficial

outcomes for an organisation. Programme Management is essentially a group of project’s designed to give strategic

benefits. There are a number of core components of Project & Programme Management that are in place to ensure

that the running of them is monitored, measured and managed successfully and efficiently.

Project & Programme Management Training & Certification Options We cover a number of disciplines that go from Foundation to Practitioner Level, as well as re-registration and

alternative schemes available in the Slice N’ Dice and Coaching Academy portfolio.

Does Project & Programme Management work? It doesn’t take a genius to work out Project & Programme Management, although it’s often mistaken for a

complex procedure, it really is all about basic organisational skills. However, as we all know it is sometimes

these basic skills that business managers seem to be unable to grasp. That’s where Project & Programme

Management comes in; it provides a set of tools that act as a pathway that can direct managers from the

start of a project all the way through to completion. The tools related to Project & Programme

Management ensure that throughout a project’s journey, the team is following a strategic plan and that it

is completed on time and within budget. With Quanta’s bespoke training and certified courses, you can

not only get the official qualifications but we can prepare you to implement Project & Programme

Management into the real-world.

Project Phoenix Challenge of Egypt Raise the Terror

Are you ready for the ride of your life?

The crowds are waiting, competitors are watching expectantly. Can Project Phoenix resurrect your theme park's dwindling trade or is the ride of your

life likely to derail before it even begins? You need to bring all your Project Management excellence to ensure success; can you live up to

those high expectations.

Experience the importance of effectively working together.

It's 2,560BC. Are you ready to take on your next challenge?

Famine. War. A demanding Pharaoh. Worst of all you have forgotten the papyrus with your Gantt chart on.

Can you muster all your Project Management skills and succeed at

the Challenge of Egypt?

Delegates will learn for themselves the importance of not just learning,

but applying sound project principles.

Are you ready to complete the polar salvage?

Your gear is packed; the hatches are

battened; now it is down to your team to find the HMS Terror,

Franklin’s ill-fated last command. You’ll have to use all your SCRUM

skills to balance the salvage operation with your secondary commission to carry out import

scientific research in the area and return to port before the ice pack

sets in.

Can you apply SCRUM to take on the challenge?

40 staff have so far received the Project Phoenix

training and the feedback has been extremely

positive! It is using Quanta’s expertise in training

methods and marrying that with the Orbit way of

working which is fantastic. We have never had a

more successful course; we are now rolling out

Project Management training to over 150 managers

across the organisation.

Who we’ve worked with

Training received: Slice N’ Dice

Many in Housing Partners were apprehensive and lacked motivation around adopting Agile in their daily routine. However, they needed a process that would increase and improve the speed to market for their new software, therefore Agile training was vital. Unlike off the shelf solutions, Slice N’ Dice gave them the flexibility to include appropriate course content, eliminating the constraints of unnecessary content and exams. Steering away from traditional learning ensured apprehensive delegates were fully engaged and came away with the confidence and encouragement to adopt Agile into the real-world.

Training received: Slice N’ Dice & Coaching Academy

University of East Anglia had in place a Project Management framework loosely based on PRINCE2®. However management believed APM would be a much better fit for their organisation to become more efficient when managing projects; however they did not require any exam qualifications. They chose a Slice N’ Dice course followed by a Coaching Academy Slice N’ Dice allowed for our APMP course to be tailored specifically to their own project managers’ toolkit and handbook which prepared them for using these in the real world. All unnecessary content was removed, allowing the content be condensed over three days, and ensuring focus was on what they needed to know. The Coaching Academy was the only solution to providing a detailed overview of what APM is all about that could enable the content to be targeted at Project Sponsors.

Training received: Slice N’ Dice

SciSys had developed an in-house Project Management framework and needed a flexible solution to give delegates a deeper understanding of the PRINCE2® methodology. Training needed to be delivered to project staff from all levels of abilities so Slice N’ Dice ensured that the level of content of each session matched the target audience.

Slice’ N Dice focused on SciSys own framework and included a real-world case study relevant to them. Delegates could fully engage in the real-world application of training material and learnt the PRINCE2® methodology in context and prepared them to take the learning from the classroom into the real-world.

Training received: ThirdBrain™ Project Phoenix

Orbit Housing required a sustainable Project Management training solution that could be rolled out to new team members if they were to expand. A series of tailored Project Phoenix simulations permitted content to focus on their own Project Management framework and enabled their in-house facilitator to observe the sessions. The three runs gave them the agility to focus on their appropriate topics and provided the opportunity to evaluate what was learnt. This was the most cost effective solutions as time was not wasted on unnecessary content and eliminated restraints of a syllabus.

Quanta were flexible and adapted to our needs, providing a mixed DSDM and SCRUM syllabus as we requested. Meeting and determining the course content ahead of the in-house sessions helped a lot

and the execution of the training was very professional, engaging and ultimately cost effective. We’ll be using Quanta again!
