About Craiova:

Craiova is one of the biggest cities in Romania. It has around 270.000 inhabitants (420.000 in

the metropolitan area). The city is a major university center in Romania and it hosts students from all

over the country and also European and international students.

It is knows as a cultural center. It has a lot of museums and cultural centers. It is the only city

from the big ones of Romania that had all the museum renovated because the city values it`s culture

and heritage.

The city is candida ting for European Cultural Capital in 2021 and in last years we can see

that the citizens of Craiova have a „hunger” for culture bigger than in the past. Also in the last years

the youth of Craiova started get involved more and more in the life of the city. You can see a lot of

initiatives of the youth related to their hobbies, to culture, to the city that in the past it wasn`t.
