Health and safetyThe board is not classified as adangerous substance so no specialprovisions are required regardingthe transportation and the disposalof the product to landfill. They can beplaced in on-site rubbish skips withother general building waste whichshould then be disposed by a regis-tered contractor in the appropriateand approved manner.

DURASTEEL® systems combine lightness, strength, impact resistance and durabilitywith exceptional fire resistance. These systems remain resistant to firefighter hosesleaving the board capable of performing their function should fire services berequired to withdraw before a fire is extinguished.

IntroductionDURASTEEL® is a composite boardmanufactured with a fibre reinforcedcement core, with outer facings of0.5mm perforated galvanised steelmechanically bonded to each surfaceof the core. Other steel finishes suchas stainless steel are also availablefor use where greater resistance tocorrosion is required.
