Promob - How to set preferences?

There are several settings that can be adjusted to become Promob standards. See:

1. How do I access the Preferences window?

To access the preferences window:

1. There are two ways to access the Preferences window:

1. Click Tools menu - Preferences;

2. Click the Preferences button located in the lower right corner of the Promob screen;

2. The Preferences window appears.

2. General: How to change the language of Promob?

To change the language of the Promob:

IMPORTANT: The Promob default language is the operating system language for your computer.

1. Click General - Languages. Select the language and click OK. Close and reopen the Promob

to load the new language.

3. General: how to set the folder where the project files will be saved?

To define the folder where the project files will be saved:

IMPORTANT: If you are saving the projects to a server with a mapped network path, make

sure that you have access permissions and that the mapping is active.

1. Click General - Project. The selected folder is the folder where your project files are currently being saved. Note that the below the selected folder displays the full directory address of the folder in question;

2. There are three options for defining the default folder where projects with a. promob

extension can be saved:

1. "Customer’s" folder in Place: the projects will be saved in the Customers folder;

2. "Promob" folder in My Documents: projects will be saved to

Local Disk (C:) \ Users \ Documents \ Promob;

2. Another Folder: You can set the folder of your choice to save the projects.

3. General: how to set the PDF printer?

To set the PDF printer:

IMPORTANT: The PDF Printer option is not available for Promob Lite.

1. Click General - PDF Printer. Select the PDF printer you want to use in Promob and click OK.

5. General: How do I display tool usage tips?

To display tips for using some tools in the lower left corner of the window:

1. Click General - Operation Tips. Check or uncheck the option to display the tips, set the

display time, and click OK ;

2. Option tips are displayed in the Promob status bar when the tool is enabled.

3. Environment

1. Environment: how to set the background colour of the Promob?

The background colour is the colour used in the 3D environment to fill the spaces around the

project. To set the Promob background colour:

1. Click Environment - Background Colour. Select the desired colour and click OK.

2. Environment: how to set the fill type?

To set the fill type:

1. Click Environment - Type of Fill. Select the type of fill you want;

2. Select or clear the Load all projects with the selected fill type option and click OK.

3. Environment: how to define the orientation of the walls?

To define the orientation of the walls:

1. Click Environment - Wall Construction. Select one of the orientation options.

The dotted line indicates the side of the wall that will receive the length value.

The types of guidance are:

2. When you check the Start in floor plan option, the project is displayed in the floor plan

when you start building the walls. Click OK;

3. TIP: The orientation type can also be set in the Tool Panel - Wall Construction when the

Build Wall tool is enabled.

4. Environment: how to set the incremental value of the move?

Movement increment is the range of movement of the modules through the arrow keys.

To set the increment value:

1. Click Environment - Drive. Enter the desired value for the increment of movement;

2. Check the Draw Only Contour Box option so that the movements made in the 3D

environment is done in Contour Box mode, which allows you to see only the contour of

the project items. At the end of the move the modules return to the fill that was being

used. Click OK.

1. Click Environment - Hotpoints. Check the Show Aggregates HotPoints option and click OK.

6. Environment: how to set the intensity of the lights in the environment?

To set the intensity of the lights in the room:

IMPORTANT: This change will only be viewed in the 3D environment.

The light intensity of the render will not be affected.

1. Click Environment - Lights. Enter the value of the lighting intensity of the 3D environment,

which can range from 0 to 2, and click OK.

7. Environment: how to define the distance of the modules that will be lowered

together with the wall?

To set the distance of the modules that will be lowered together with the wall:

1. Click Environment - Wall. Set the distance from the module to the wall so that it is lowered

along with the wall. Click OK.

To set the unit of measure:

IMPORTANT: The unit of measurement MM 0.00 is not available for Promob Studio, Premium, Lite

and Start.

1. Click Measurements - Unit of Measure. Under User Formats select the unit of

measurement that will be used. To view the format of the selected measurement,

enter a value in the corresponding location. Click OK.

1. Internet: how to configure the options for sending e-mail through Promob?

To configure the options for sending e-mail through Promob:

IMPORTANT: Sending requests and budgets via email can only be used when the Send

to Email option is available in the Promob Budget window.

1. Click the Internet - Email tab;

2. If Microsoft Outlook is used for sending e-mails, perform the following configuration:

1. In the email setup window, check Use my computer's default settings to send and then click OK;

2. Enabling this option Promob searches the configuration information of your default email.

IMPORTANT: If you use Microsoft Outlook software, check this option only.

3. If Microsoft Outlook is not used for sending e-mails, make the following configuration:

1. In the email configuration window fill in the fields:

1. From: sender's email;

2. SMTP server: Specifies the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server for outgoing messages.

To find out the correct server, contact your Internet service provider or local network administrator;

2. Check the Use authentication option and inform the User and the Email password;

4. IMPORTANT: Whenever your email address or password changes, you must enter

the new information in the Promob Preferences. Click OK.

2. Internet: how to configure FTP settings?

To configure FTP settings:

IMPORTANT: Sending requests and budgets via FTP can only be used when the Send to FTP

option is available in the Promob budget window.

1. Click Internet - FTP. Enter the requested data and click OK.

IMPORTANT: If you do not have the following information, contact the Factory.

3. Internet: How to configure proxy settings?

To configure proxy settings:

1. Click Internet - Proxy. Select one of the options:

1. Automatically detect network settings: option used for computers that do not have a proxy;

2. Use the following proxy settings: option used for computers with proxy-protected

Internet connection. The Address and Port fields must be populated with the Store

/ Factory proxy server information.

IMPORTANT: Request proxy setup from your IT technician or network administrator;

2. Click OK.

6. Listing

1. Logo: how to insert logo on the budget and listing page?

To insert logo on the budget and listing page:

IMPORTANT: The ability to insert logo on the budget and listing page is not available for Promob

Premium, Promob Studio and Promob Lite.

1. Click on Listing - Logo. Enable the Use Logo option. Click the Browse button to locate the

logo image. TIP: Insert images with dimensions between 350x70 pixels and 350x200 pixels for

better positioning in the document;

2. In the message that appears, click Yes to save a copy of the image to the local Promob

folder. If the image file is removed from another directory, the logo will not be displayed;

3. Close the Preferences window, generate the budget / project listing, and view the logo on

the left side of the document window.
