ZAMBIA MISSION UPDATE The work at The Haven was going on long before me and will continue to go on for as long as the Lord leads it. So, while I may be your connection, this work is so much more than just me. Our aunties and house parents are all Zambian. They are the heart and soul of this work and they are my sound counsel. Their love for these children is evident in little things—the way they braid or tie up the girls’ hair with cotton, the way they know each child’s likes and dislikes and the way they sing to them and help them learn our six truths. (1. God is Good 2. Nothing is Impossible 3. Everyone is Important 4. Jesus Already Won 5. I am God’s Treasure 6. I Am the One Jesus Loves) I would not have been able to step into this work without help from the community already working here to help vulnerable kids get a healthy start. The aunties are my friends, my confidants, my daily reminders to be faithful even when it feels hard. They are my heroes. Continue to keep us in your prayers, Jana Miller
