ProOp™ PLUNGER LIFT SYSTEM
ProOp™ Plunger Lift System
REVOLUTIONARY PLUNGER LIFT TECHNOLOGY
MAXIMIZES WELL PERFORMANCE AND PROFITABILITY
The NOV® Monoflo® ProOp Plunger is an instrumented diagnostic tool that records pressure,
temperature, and position as it cycles through the well. Using an advanced software program,
diagnostic “pictures” can be quickly scanned for operational problems.
With its collar locator and on-board sensors, the ProOp Plunger captures significant data
such as: x Accurate plunger velocities x Auto collar count x Accurate fluid Levels x Bottom-hole pressures and temperatures x Holes in tubing x Operating efficiencies x Operational interference x Production effects from compression x Calculation of reservoir properties
The wealth of collected data can be used to proactively manage your reservoir: x Evaluate well performance x Improve well operations x Increase well production x Reduce operating costs x Increase profitability
The ProOp Plunger allows the field user to quickly initiate the plunger in preparation for easy data
collection. The data can be downloaded onsite in the field via a laptop computer for instant evaluation.

Tools included with purchase of the ProOp Plunger x Water-proof and shock-proof carrying case x (2) ‘C’ Lithium batteries with battery protector x USB 1GB program stick with pre-installed software x USB cord and adaptor that connects computer to plunger
Easy Connection for Field Use
Unscrew top cap exposing the battery/USB interface adaptor and the battery cover. Connect the communications adaptor and then connect the USB cable to the computer and plunger.
Design Use
The ProOp Plunger is manufactured for use in wells installed with a plunger lift lubricator with a catch mechanism. There is approximately 14 days of storage capacity at a 2 second acquisition rate for pressure, temperature, and digital depth measurement. The pressure sensor is rated to 5,000 psi.
The plunger is designed to operate in wells with temperature ranges not to exceed 125°C, or 250°F. The plunger should not be run over 1,000 feet per minute. After installing the battery and battery protector, the top cap should be hand tightened so that the top and bottom caps are flush. To prevent thread damage, the maximum torque should not exceed 100 ft-lbs.

Typical ProOp Plunger Cycle Data Reading
The ProOp Plunger falls to fluid, falls through fluid, starts pressure buildup and then travels to surface.
Any deviation from this typical plunger cycle behavior is indicative of changes in well behavior and
operations such as facility malfunctions, line pressure increases, compressor loading, or possible
interference effects from other wells in the battery.
The Plot Tool Program allows the User to analyze the data acquired from the ProOp Plunger.
