WHAT IS TASKBAR A Taskbar is a visual device on the 

desktop that typically shows the user which applications (tasks) are currently active and running.

Start button-

The Start menu contains two primary columns. The left column contains a list of the most commonly used programs, as well as an "All Programs" submenu, which displays all the currently installed applications. The bottom of the left column includes a search box, which can be used to search for programs and files. The right column contains links to common folders, such the Documents, Pictures, and Music folders.

Quick launch- The Quick Launch toolbar is a section of our taskbar

near the Start menu where we can add shortcuts to programs. The Quick Launch toolbar always stays visible, even when you have a window open, for easy access to our shortcuts.

Notification area /bar

The notification area is located on the right portion of the Taskbar next to the time. This area displays programs running in the background of Windows. Some of the common options shown in the notification area are:-

Sound (Speakers) - Icon that looks like a speaker from a side view. Allows quick access to increase or decrease sound volume, as well as mute.

Network connection - Computer monitor icon if connected via network cable or cell phone service icon (5 vertical bars, rising in height from left to right) if connected via wireless connection.

WHAT IS TASK MANAGER

It enables a user to view each of the tasks currently running on the computer, each of the processes, and the overall performance

of the computer. The Task Manager is accessed by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del on the

keyboard.
