Proposal to Provide Technical Service

The Computer Company, Inc. has constructed this proposal to demonstrate the value of services we have to offer to your organization.

Technical Approach – Initial Assessment Once selected, TCC will arrange a visit within one week of notification, to perform an onsite review and initial network evaluation consisting of the following:

Evaluate current network infrastructure which includes cabling, LAN and WAN

connections, switches, hubs, routers, modems, wireless, cameras and firewalls.

Evaluate current Internet connection and Network Operating System to determine if it meets the needs of the organization.

Analyze current security configuration to determine if data is properly secured, and protected by backups in case of minor power disruptions or disaster based events.

Evaluate Workstation operating systems, applications, and environment with a focus on productivity improvement.

Inspect the physical security of company data.

Provide a list of recommendations based on common industry practices

Overview The analysis will provide an overall technical assessment of the current network infrastructure. The initial data will be collected by a certified technician, who will inventory the hardware, software, and peripherals in use at the main office and satellite locations Deliverables: Final Report The Computer Company will use the information gathered in the research to produce a document containing a detailed description of network hardware, software, and peripherals. In addition, we will provide specific recommendations and suggestions to ensure that the network meets current industry “best practices” and meet the business needs of the organization. Hardware Life Cycle – The report will provide a summary of equipment and the approximate age. Typical hardware life cycle is 3-5 years. TCC will provide a plan for assessing what would be needed to establish a budget to replace equipment in the future.

This assessment and evaluation will be performed during the 1st month of contracted services.
