DESCRIPTION

The MSP program is an established initiative that the client wanted to take a step further. We were charged with revamping the program and planning innovative ways to attract, maintain and incentive young students to join and remain in the program.

The MSP+ logo is an evolution of the current Microsoft Student Partner logo. It uses elements from the current visual identity like the blue shades, and the growth pattern. The additional ‘+’ emphasizes the elite and exclusive nature of the program.

• Re-register on the revamped MSP website.

• This will include graduation subject, interested fields of study and hobbies, and current usage of Microsoft tools.

Registration

• On completing Registration, the MSPs will be given a detailed list of activities that they must participate in to earn points. Activity List

• All these activities must be filled in to a form on the Activities page - daily or weekly. Every quarter these points will be collated. MSPs with the top points will be felicitated at an event every quarter.

Rewards Scheme

• Certificates – 25 pts

• Certificates + Movie Tickets - 50 pts

• First two + Merchandise - 75 pts

• Exclusive Microsoft training session - 100 pts

Quarterly Giveaways

• At the end of the year, each MSP with less than 500 points will be given a non-encashable Visa Gift Card with an amount corresponding to the points they've collected.

Annual Reward

• Collect a total of 500 points to be promoted to an MSP+* at an exclusive felicitation ceremony. At the ceremony they will be given a welcome kit (with MSP+ branded gear) and an initial choice of one item from the Rewards Basket.

*This incentive program ceases once 300 MSPs have collected 500 points each and have been promoted to MSP+.

Option 1 - Points Break-up

• Talking to others about Microsoft products

• Completing weekly reports on the website about these conversations - what were the others' reactions, what was the feedback regarding Microsoft tools, greatest competitors, etc.

25 points

• Using Microsoft software innovatively - for the school newspaper, or sketches and drawings using the Office programs, etc. 50 points

• Create apps/ develop software 100 points

• Compete in competitions involving Microsoft products 125 points

• Make presentations about Microsoft tools at schools, universities, clubs, etc. 200 points

• As part of the existing registration process, there will be an online test.* Registration

• The test questionnaire will be divided into different sections - technology interest, knowledge, hobbies, future plans, basic test of software proficiency. Question Sets

• Once submitted, the answers to each question will be evaluated and marked. Evaluation

• The top 300 scorers will be promoted to the MSP+. They will be notified by email to attend a felicitation ceremony. MSP+

• The new the MSP+ receive a welcome kit and a choice of any one item from the Rewards Basket. The top scorer gets the chance to visit the Microsoft headquarters in the US. Rewards

*Registration will be open from July to January, just as in the current scheme.

• A special managing committee, made up of MSP Managers and the MSP+ will be facilitators of all MSP+ related activities.

• MSP Managers will set events (lectures, seminars, webinars, webcast releases).

• Send activity plan of events.

• Choose activity locations.

• Online activities – Live stream events, webcasts and webinars via Lync, Skype or YouTube.

• Send out monthly/ quarterly e-mailers about MSP+ events and news

• Advertise on social media channels – Facebook, Twitter, MSDN and Partner networks.

• Integrate with other Microsoft programs – Members of DPE, DreamSpark can become MSPs or spread the word about the program.

• Link+ Online Forums - Via Lync for the MSP+ to interact with IT Pros, as well as host lectures and webinars.

• Career boosts – Give the MSP+ guaranteed access to the Dreamspark and BizSpark programs.

• Social Media activities – the MSP+ can write blogs on Microsoft devices, technologies and software before release.

• MSP Summit – Annual event with keynote speakers from the tech and gaming world. Presentations can be given by Imagine Cup winners and some the MSP+.

• Points-Based Reward Baskets - Event tickets, Competition Entries, free additional storage on Skydrive, latest Microsoft software and new Microsoft devices

• Providing warehouse for storage (additional costs as payable).

• Inventory of dispatches and entry of items to be maintained.

• Courier of items to requisite locations (including customs-duties, etc.) provided on a need-basis (cost at actuals). Client to confirm the required locations.

Year-End Evaluation

• Each MSP+ will have a tenure of 1 year.

• Year-end evaluations will be carried out by MSP Managers on the performance of the MSP+.

• The MSP+ must secure a certain target in the evaluation to continue their tenure for another year.

• Failing this, the MSP+ will lose their status.
