The London Borough of Hounslow (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (2008, No. 1) (Amendment No. **) Order 20** 1. The London Borough of Hounslow proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 51 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 2. The general effect of the Parking Places Order would be to introduce a controlled parking zone (CPZ) into the Haverfields Area off of Green Dragon Lane, Brentford. The CPZ would operate Monday to Friday 10-11am & 7pm-8pm and Match Day Saturday 2.30pm -3.30pm except Christmas Day, Good Friday and Bank Holidays in which vehicles displaying a valid permit may park. List of streets which will operate in the proposed CPZ as detailed plans attached. 3. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading & Disabled parking bay Orders would be to further amend both Orders by adding new waiting restrictions & disabled parking bays on street. Proposed controlled parking zone & waiting restrictions off of Green Dragon Lane, Brentford in Haverfields area STATEMENT OF REASONS The Council proposing to introduce a new Controlled Parking in the Haverfields Area off of Green Dragon Lane, Brentford following consultation with residents. The purpose of this CPZ is to remove all day non-residential parking and increase parking provision for residents and their visitors. The CPZ will also include ‘single and double yellow line’ waiting restrictions, where it is deemed necessary, to reduce obstructive parking and increase visibility, improving the general safety of vehicle users and pedestrians. The operation times for the CPZ will be Monday to Friday 10-11am & 7pm-8pm and Match Day Saturday 2.30pm -3.30pm except Christmas Day, Good Friday and Bank Holidays pm during which vehicles displaying a valid permit may park.
