The Southern Corridor remains the most advanced project connecting

South East Europe and Italy.Environmental and regulatory

framework in place.

Interconnector Greece - Bulgaria (IGB): it will supply up 3-5bcma

A planned Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) in Northern

Greece will allow LNG to flow to Europe.

The East Med Pipeline connecting Cyprus and Israel to the EU. An

offshore pipeline from the fields of Eastern Mediterranean may connect these newly found sources to Europe

opening a New Energy Corridor.

The East Med Pipeline connecting The East Med Pipeline connecting Cyprus-Israel (& Egypt?) to the EU Cyprus-Israel (& Egypt?) to the EU

The construction of the pipeline is technically feasible.

The pipeline will be able to carry around 8bcma and will have a length of around ~1100km.

The estimated transportation tariff of the pipeline is almost one third of the respective

tariff for an LNG terminal. Transportation tariffs remain much lower even for delivery of gas to

Italy and SEE.

The pipeline will supply natural gas to Crete spurring development in new markets.

The pipeline can link with the ITGI/TAP system.Gas from East Med will access the SEE and

Italian markets at competitive prices

East Mediterranean gas will play an important role as the EU incorporates this newly found

source into it’s energy policy.

The Greece - Bulgaria The Greece - Bulgaria Interconnector Interconnector

IGB acts as a gateway to SE through Greece, which is situated at the crossroads of all the new sources

IGB will be carrying 3bcma, scalable up to 5 bcma.

IGB:•Has received the EIA permits in Greece and Bulgaria •IGB in cooperation with the 2 NRAs has launched its Market Test while updating its business plan and financial structure, taking into consideration the mandate signed with EBRD.•FID is scheduled to be taken soon

IGB’s regional significance has been reaffirmed by the EU, receiving a €45million grant through the

EEPR framework.

IGB’s national importance has been announced by both the Greek and Bulgarian governments. Italy

The Aegean LNG terminalThe Aegean LNG terminal

The planned FSRU in Northern Greece will allow SEE region to have easier access to more LNG capacities

(in addition to the existing LNG terminal in the Greek island of Revythousa ).

The Aegean LNG will be able to send out 5 bcma into Greece and from there, in conjunction with IGB and

other interconnectors, to SE, Turkey and Italy

The Aegean LNG:Comprises the floating facilityIt is located at Kavala where DEPA possesses property rightsWill have a storage capacity of 150,000m3

Technical Feasibility established:

Technical development progressing beyond completed feasibility.EIA study under process Natural gas may flow from the Aegean LNG terminal soon.

Italy

South Europe is a key market for some of the new sources of gas, including the Caspian and the Eastern Mediterranean, because of:•its proximity to the source•its potential for growth

Greece is instrumental in the developments in SE because of its

advanced stage plans (LNG terminals etc.)

Greece is:•Closest to ALL of those sources•An open market with free competition
