Monroe County Stop DWI Program
Every year Monroe County recognizes individual
achievements by Police Departments in their
efforts to reduce alcohol and other drug-related
traffic crashes.
This year the Webster Police Department was
honored for their collective efforts over the past
year as part of the Stop DWI program.
The County also presented special awards for
Officer Ashley Lass and Sgt. Skyler Miller.
Officer Ashley Lass received recognition for
having over 20% of the DWI/DWAI arrests for
Webster!
Sgt. Skyler Miller was also recognized for his
outstanding efforts with DWI/DWAI arrests.
He is a drug recognition expert in the County,
and his skills are a valuable part of keeping our
streets safe. Sgt. Miller’s expertise is used both
here in Webster and across the County, where
he assists multiple agencies. Sgt. Miller is one
of only 20 officers in Monroe County that have
this specialized training.
We are very proud
to have Officer Lass
and Sgt. Miller
representing the
Webster Police
Department and
keeping our
residents safe!
Thank you! Photo Courtesy Monroe County

Proclamation for Outstanding Community Service:
Missy Rosenberry For years Webster residents have enjoyed the community news
and heartfelt stories written by Missy Rosenberry.
Her ‘Webster on the Web’ blog started off back in 2008, when the D&C newspaper was looking for community bloggers.
Missy proposed a blog and was hired, albeit without pay, for the position of Webster community blogger.
The blog was the first time Missy had ever been published, and now she is a household name!
This month, the Webster Public Library is featuring a showcase of Missy’s photographs.
The installation includes 24 photographs chosen from thousands she has taken over
the past 13 years of writing the blog.
The photos will be on display at the library until the end of August.
Residents have come to rely on Missy’s blog for the latest community news and events, mixed with her
unique blend of humor and compassion. Missy noted that first and foremost, the blog is her hobby, and writing is her creative outlet. Writing the blog allows her to meet new people, try new things, and learn
more about the community. Many are surprised to hear that she is not paid for the blog
and ask what motivates her to keep writing each week. Missy stated that it is the resident’s feedback that keeps her going. “People tell me that a particular blog made
their day, made them laugh or made them cry. I’ve heard from former Webster residents in Florida and California
who still follow me to keep tabs on their hometown.”
Last week the Town Board honored Missy’s dedication and service to our Webster community. Please join us in
thanking Missy for 13 years of telling Webster’s stories and being a voice for our residents.
“I like shining a spotlight on unsung heroes, unearthing the hidden gems of our community,
and celebrating all of the small events that make Webster life enjoyable.”
