Core Values // The body of
Christ is diversed
and just as a body,
though one, has
many parts, but all
its many parts
form one body, so
it is with Christ. Faith Bible College (FBC) values each and
every person with their individual callings to fulfil the wider
purposes of God in the world today. Included in this section
is the Statement of Faith to which Faith Bible College sub-
scribes, in keeping with the Scriptural injunction: ‘Take heed
to yourself and to the doctrine … Speak the things that are
proper for sound doctrine.’ 1 Timothy 4:16. We trust that
you will find Faith Bible College a place of balance between
the foundational Word of God, and the Word’s agreement of
the empowering of the Holy Spirit. Faith Bible College strives
for unity within the body
and is a non-
denominational Bible
College. The College has
relationships with nearly
every church denomina-
tion in New Zealand, with
the understanding that all churches have something unique
to offer in the body of Christ. Although Faith Bible College is
not affiliated with any particular denomination, it was
birthed out of the Charismatic movement in New Zealand in
1967, a move that not only influenced the Charismatic Pen-
tecostal Churches, but all churches throughout New Zealand.
Faith Bible College retains the empowerment and supernat-
ural functioning of the Holy Spirit, at its core to this day in
accordance with Scripture. We hope you enjoy finding out
more about Faith Bible College throughout this prospectus.
// Faith Bible College Mission Statement
To prepare servant leaders for the end-time global harvest who manifest the character of
Christ, and minister in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit.
Get Foundations for Ministry
Faith Bible College could be the key to unlock all that God has intended you to be and to do. The challenge and discipline of the College is designed to bring out the utmost of God's purposes in each individual in the atmosphere of the Holy Spirit's anointing.
The world is in need of such individuals - mature men and women patterned after the Word of God with ministries prepared spiritually, intellectually and practically for victories God intends for His Church; men and women filled with the desire to see the earth aflame with the glory of the Lord.
FAITH BIBLE COLLEGE > PROSPECTUS > 5
// Faith Bible College’s Statement of Faith
1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only
infallible, authoritative Word of God.
2. We Believe in the triune Godhead as eternally exist-
ent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit
3. We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth,
in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious
and atoning death through His shed blood, in His
bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right
hand of the Father, and in His present priestly min-
istry.
4. We believe in evangelistic and missionary fervour
and endeavour.
5. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful
man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely
essential. We further believe in the keeping power
of God.
6. We believe in sanctification and holiness of heart
and the overcoming life as God’s design for the
Church, which is the bride of Christ.
7. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as on
the day of Pentecost and in the continuing ministry
of the Holy Spirit as evidence in charismatic gifts
and ministries, and in His fruit in the life of the be-
liever.
8. We believe that divine healing is obtained on the
basis of Atonement.
9. We believe in Christ’s imminent personal return in
power and great glory, and in His present and ever
lasting dominion.
10. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved
and the lost: they that are saved into eternal life
and they that are lost to eternal punishment.
Where Spiritual Meets Practical
The Course objectives encompass three essential
areas of Learning:
KNOWING - Academic studies, Biblical, Ministry and
Theological subjects
BEING - Personal Spiritual Development through learn-
ing in an environment which encourages individual spir-
itual development

Tauranga City
// Tauranga City is the centre of the fifth largest urban
area in New Zealand, with an urban population of 134,400
(June 2016) and is the most populous city in the Bay of
Plenty Region of the North Island of New Zealand. Tau-
ranga’s nearest international airport is Auckland, which is
two and a half hours by car from Tauranga or three quar-
ters of an hour by plane.
Tauranga is one of New Zealand's main centres for busi-
ness, international trade, culture, fashion and horticultural
science. The Port of Tauranga is New Zealand's largest port
in terms of gross export tonnage and efficiency.
Much of the countryside surrounding Tauranga is horticul-
tural land, used to grow a wide range of fresh produce for
both domestic consumption and export. There are
many kiwifruit and avocados orchards as well as other
crops.
Tauranga is a very popular lifestyle and tourism destina-
tion. It features many natural attractions and scenery rang-
ing from popular beaches and harbour environments to
lush bush-clad mountains with waterfalls and lakes.
The area offers the two magnificent ocean beaches of
Mount Maunganui and Papamoa, plus all the harbour
beaches from ‘the Mount’ to Katikati.
Tauranga is a community orientated city, with many hubs
and shopping complexes including Papamoa’s Fashion
Island and Plaza, Fraser Cove shopping centre, a Bethle-
hem Shopping Complex, Bayfair Shopping Centre, and
more. There are also limitless community activities hosted
throughout various parts of Tauranga such as Jazz Festi-
vals, Night Markets, Sporting events and others.
Tauranga is one of New Zealand's fastest growing cities. Well known for its temperate
climate, beautiful beaches, and the iconic Mount Maunganui, Tauranga is fast becom-
ing an important cultural and economic centre - as well as one of New Zealand’s
premier holiday destinations.

1. Climb the Mount (Mount Maunganui).
2. Visit the Hot Pools: Welcome Bay (5 minutes drive from campus); the Mount salt water hot pools; and Fernland Spa in Bethlehem.
3. Surfing - or just swimming for that matter - at the Mount Beach (lessons available in sum-mer).

The Church of Tauranga
// All the tourist attractions and activities aside, Tauranga
is known to Christians as being a strong Christian City.
With over 70 Churches, Tauranga has a large community
of pastors who work together to see a change in the city
for the Kingdom of God.
There is a huge community of Youth Organizations, street
evangelism teams, community outreach organizations and
healthy, progressive, Spirit-filled churches. Faith Bible Col-
lege is not directly affiliated with any particular denomina-
tion of Church in Tauranga, but pastors from all denomina-
tions acknowledge its special place in our city, contributing
leaders and missionaries into the community locally, na-
tional and internationally.
We encourage all of our enrolling students to get planted
and involved in a local church to not only grow their gifts
in ministry, but also because we hold unity in the church
as a value, and not a preference.
The North Island
// Tauranga’s central Location in the Bay of Plenty puts it in
close proximity to a lot of the tourist and commercial centres
of New Zealand. New Zealand's biggest city, Auckland is only a
few hours drive away, as is the geothermal and cultural won-
derlands of Rotorua and Taupo. A few hours further south
during winter, you will be in Ski and Snow territory at the
beautiful Mt. Ruapehu. During summer, Mt Ruapehu, Mt.
Tongariro and Mt. Ngauruhoe are home to one of the most
beautiful landscapes in the world - you can complete a walk
known as the Tongariro crossing to see the majestic view.
Closer in the Bay of Plenty and Coromandel area there is the
world famous Cathedral Cove, Hot Water Beach and Mataka-
na Island. Tauranga not only has the benefit of being a beauti-
ful place itself, but also being close to some many beautiful
cultural, and geographic attractions.
