CHINESE INNOVATION TAKES THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR MANKIND The Chinese company Envision Energy is one of the world’s leading wind turbine producers – offshore as well as onshore wind turbines.

Headquartered in Jiangyin near Shanghai, Envision Energy is located in the heart of China’s development centre of renewable energy. 65 per cent of all earnings in this district derive from the wind turbine industry.

In 2009, the ambition to also be present in the heart of the European wind turbine industry led Envision Energy to set up its Global Innovation Centre in Denmark.

The company wants to “take the responsibility for a sustainable future for mankind” and, thus, keeps a constant focus on technological innovations within smart and sustainable solutions to renewable energy.

Patrade is Envision Energy’s steady collaborator and IPR consultant when it comes to protecting the innovative products of the wind turbine company. Therefore, Patrade has an ongoing dialogue and discussion of strategic protection of the pioneering technology with the company’s experts.

The toilet seat giant Pressalit has outsourced its IPR work to Patrade in connection with a radical re-organization in this area. A new, more proactive effort is now made to protect the company’s rights.

Pressalit uses Patrade worldwide for watching services, evaluation of infringements and protection of IPR rights. The company’s acti-vities and needs are extensive. Mapping the extent of protection for Pressalit’s products, trade marks and designs is a puzzle requiring a high level of knowledge and solid experience, and these are among Patrade’s competences.

WHEN A TRADITIONAL QUIZ GAME MERGES WITH CREATIVITY

Entrepreneur Jesper Bülow started cautiously when he introduced the board game Bezzerwizzer® to family and friends in the beginning of 2004. The first prototypes were produced in his basement and many of the first questions were formulated on his home computer.

The result was the game Bezzerwizzer® which with its 5,000 questions in 20 categories has become one of the most popular board games at present.

With help and advice from Patrade, Bezzerwizzer® is protected as a trade mark and the appearance of the quiz game is protected as a registered design.

Jesper Bülow has, together with Patrade, extended his intellectual property rights to include foreign countries.
