Mobile scanning is the only way to guarantee that all product IDs are scanned as they move along the supply chain. Legislation worldwide requires pharmaceutical supply chain members to track and trace their products. These requirements constantly increase the necessity to collaborate with supply chain partners and exchange traceability data:

Companies which are required to track their product movements via batches, whether it is a legal requirement or a supply chain integrity need, find it difficult to perform this task in an efficient manner. The reason for this is that the complete batch genealogy, for impacted batches both upstream and downstream, cannot be easily determined or reported upon. Such tasks can take weeks to complete and it is business critical to find out the root cause of a product batch issue as fast as possible in order to mitigate its impact.

SAP Global Batch Traceability is a tool that gives immediate insight into product batch genealogies. It allows fast and efficient analysis and reporting of product batch or multiple distribution records.
