CHALLENGE Provide access to education for the world’s hardest to reach children

PROTOTYPE A device called Edusua: An online + offline educational platform, connecting kids and teachers. It helps teachers empower children with knowledge to achieve their full potential. The device lets any screen, display or projector become a knowledge central. It contains learning material that is tailored for specific markets; contextualized and culturalized that one can scroll through using the buttons. It can be handed out by NGOs, governments, and schools, and be used by students both online and offline.

Only 20% of primary school children proceed to secondary school, leaving behind 6,000,000 children.

The available capitation grant for learning resources is app. $10 while each text book cost $5. Minimum requirement is 7 textbooks.

Language is a barrier to comprehension of learning content

EDUSUA Is a multi-platform device that can provide both online and offline access to learning content to children in remote villages in Ghana and Tanzania.

The children from 6 to 18 should be able to learn anytime and anywhere through already existing devices in their communities.
