INVESTING IN VOLUNTEERS
Everything we do, training and other services, is based on
Investing in Volunteers (IiV). IiV is the UK quality standard for
good practice in volunteer management.
IiV helps you benchmark and develop the quality of your volunteer
management and involvement, prove and improve the
effectiveness of your work with volunteers and enhance your
organisation's reputation.
We can do a Managing Volunteers Healthcheck for you i.e. work
out where you are in relation to the standard and provide you with
an action plan for improving your practice. Contact us for costs.
For some organisations, we can do this for free!
Or, by being assessed against the Standard, developing and
gaining accreditation, your organisation can publicly demonstrate
its commitment to good practice and receive a National Award for
quality in volunteer management.
To find out more about how Investing in
Volunteers could work for your organisation, visit
www.investinginvolunteers.org.uk or

Volunteer Impact Assessment
Toolkit
Being able to evidence your impact is critical to securing funding or just raising your profile. We can help you work through a code of good impact practice to ensure that gathering evidence for impact is embedded throughout your organisation. We can also carry out an impact assessment for you.
Managing Volunteers Healthchecks
How well are you doing in relation to managing your volunteers? We can benchmark your organisation against the Investing in Volunteers standard and
provide you with a development plan clearly outlining any areas for improvement/gaps in practice and signposting to where you could get help to
address them. All you have to do is answer a few questions, then sit back and await the diagnosis! A Health Check will only take about half a day of your
time but the benefits are far reaching. It also means that, if you wish, you are just one step away from achieving the Investing in Volunteers award. If you choose to address your development plan within six months of the Health Check, we will offer to assess you for the Award at a reduced rate! Some
health checks can be carried out for free so please contact us.
Policy Development
Do you struggle to develop your policies or worry about keeping them up to date? Let us help you to review what you have and identify what you need. Whether it is your volunteer policy or safeguarding policies, we can ensure that you have a well written, user friendly document suitable for sharing across all levels of your organisation.
Research
Is there something that you would love to explore in your organisation but just don’t have the time? Trends, patterns, innovations or developments? Let us do the thinking, consultations and analysis for you. We can provide an independent report and can even help you implement the recommendations.
Governance Review
Let us help you review your governance practice against the Code of Good Governance to ensure that your Board is adhering to the key principles and standards. We can provide you with an action plan of areas that need developed and provide a clear signpost of where you can go to get the help.
