What does this teach us about praying for those who are opposed to us?

Matthew 5:44: But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Romans 12:14: Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.

1 Corinthians 4:12: When reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we endure;

What does this teach us about praying for those who are opposed to us?

1 Peter 2:23: When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly.

1 Peter 3:9: Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.

1) Rebuke (make aware of sin), vs. 22) Encourage proper response (help them accept rebuke), vs. 4

– angry, do not sin– ponder, be still

Focus is on helping them restore thier relationship with God.
