If your firmwaare is not 6.60 you can connect it to the Internet and run System Update. You will need a Formatted Memory Stick and a battery with a minimum charge level for the psp to allow the update. Your psp will download a game eboot file that can be run from GAME -> MEMORY STICK on the xmb. Afterward your system info should say "System Software Version 6.60" Alternately the Official firmware update file can be downloaded from online, copied to \PSP\GAME and run from GAME -> MEMORY STICK on the xmb.Step 2 : **Copy Filesystem**Plug your Playstation into your PC via usb cable and go to USB MODE in your xmb. Alternately you can use a MS Pro Duo Reader to access your files. Copy and Paste All the folders in the aptly named "Copy Contents to MS Pro Duo" folder and Merge or Overerwrite as prompted. Besides the \PSP\GAME and \PSP\THEME folders these should be new folders on your PSP filesystem. You may already have an \ISO Folder or have Games in \PSP\GAME or Theme files in \PSP\THEME. I'm sure you can Copy and Paste without screwing anything up. Most important is that you copy over the 2 folders in the \PSP\Game folder called "PROUPDATE" and "CIPL_Flasher" These 2 game files will be used to crack your PSP.Step 3 : **Run PROUPDATE and CIPL_Flasher**Disconnect your PSP or put the memory stick back in and boot up. Go to GAME -> MEMORY STICK in your xmb. You should see both PROUPDATE and CIPL_Flasher in your game files. First run PROUPDATE. It will boot like a PSP game and then Prompt you to hit the x button a few times. When it's done you can confirm the custom firmware is installed by checking SYSTEM SETTINGS -> SYSTEM INFORMATION. There in the field for System Software it should say "6.60 PRO-C2". You now have Custom Firmware on your PSP!Next you need to run CIPL_Flasher to make the CFW Permanent. It will boot just like the other file. Follow the prompts to install Your psp will reboot and your CFW should be permanently installed in your PSP. Check the system info to be sure that everything is kosher. Your System Software should say "6.60 PRO-C2" and the MAC will show your [Model: #] because your Mac is being spoofed.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------You can always boot your System in the official firmware if you wish by holding the Home Button while powering up. Pressing SELECT while in the xmb brings up the VSH menu where you can over/under clock your cpu, Turn Plug-ins on and off and adjust settings. You can also shut down or suspend from the VSH. Pressing SELECT and START while in a PSP game will open a smaller vsh that let's you do some functions, like shutting down and cpu clocking without exiting the game. Dayviewer can be customized by editing the config.txt file in the \seplugings folder. All Plugin readme.txt files are also in \seplugins.You can now copy any of the included files that you wish to the memory stick. The Emulators and PSX eboots should be copied to \PSP\GAME folder with respective sub-folders intact. Any PSP .ISO's or .CSO Files go in the \ISO folder. All the included games were were downloaded from emuparadise. That is why I included the Uniextract and PSP ISO Compressor installers in this Torrent. You may need alot more memory now that you can Play games from the memory stick. I recommend a Micro SD to MS Pro Duo adapter because Sony Memory sticks are very expensive.
